In the first year of the PhD at SBSR Sharda University candidates go through basic course work related to their subjects and research aptitude required to complete their degree. This is done so that students know the basics of academic research that they're going to use during their time at the course. The first year also ensures that students coming from different curriculums are on the same level about necessary concepts required for academic research.
