It's a good idea to do a diploma in engineering initially after the 10th. Subsequently after three years of the course, one can think of doing graduation in engineering if one so wishes. This way there is no loss of any years for obtaining an engineering degree and in addition, one gets a diploma also and enables one to acquire skills much in demand in any profession. In addition, after completion of a diploma one can pause for a year or two, get the experience of the industry and then proceed to graduation.
