The basic difference between a B.Tech and Polytechnic engineering courses is that a B.Tech is a degree course while a Polytechnic is a Diploma course in engineering. One can opt for a Polytechnic course just after 10th or it can also be done after 12th. But one cannot opt for B.Tech only after 12th with Physics Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects. The duration of a Polytechnic course is of minimum 3 years but you can take a lateral entry in Polytechnic if you have done ITI for which the duration of the course will then be 2 years. 1- If you do not wish to study more or do not have the necessary resources, then you can get technical jobs by doing an ITI course; otherwise, if you want to go ahead in the technical field, it would be better to do polytechnics at less expense and less time.

List of Courses after Polytechnic Diploma:
1- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech): After the Polytechnic, the candidates can go for lateral entry to the second year of B.Tech in the stream which they prefer. Duration: 3 years (for lateral entry)

Tips to crack the entrance exam.
1. Read the NCERT textbook for classes 9th, 10th, and so on and take short notes.

It is not better. Lj Polytechnic is better for EEE, ECE students and you are from CSE. So, you will continue your education in same college in case group.
