Every college has its own policy regarding college changes after admission. Most colleges only allow transfers with the permission of the principal or head of department. The procedure is as follows:
1. You will be required to get a "no objection certificate" (NOC) from the principal or head of the department at Maharana Pratap Polytechnic College, Gorakhpur.
2. You will need to have good scores in your semester or entrance exam.
3. Your reason for changing colleges must be accepted by Maharana Pratap Polytechnic as well as the college to which you want admission.
4. Your NOC must be accepted by the college to which you seek admission.

The Polytechnic has a well-stocked library, replete with the latest & most sought after Books, National & International journals. The students have to pay Rs. 500-Rs1000 as membership fee (depending on the course) and Rs. 1000 as a compulsory security deposit. The Security deposit is refundable, on clearance of all library dues.

Polytechnic Admission process is automated and conducted through a web based single window system by Department of Technical Education. Candidates are also required to visit the Admission Portal regularly for notifications and announcements. Registration process :

Yes, you can get admission but in some private colleges. For government colleges, you must clear the UPJEE (Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination) entrance exam or the JEECUP (Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh) entrance exam. A list of colleges is
