Study at the university usually takes place in German, which is why you need sufficient knowledge of German. They require a language level of at least B1/B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). If you are seeking admission at Seattle University, and you are applying from a non-English speaking country then you are required to show your English Language Proficiency, by qualifying for any of the accepted English Language Proficiency Tests such as IELTS/TOEFL/PTE. The scores required to get into Seattle University may be course-specific. However, the minimum average TOEFL score required to get into Seattle University is 85. Hence, it is a good score.

For the Certificate in English Language (CEL) program, the required scores are as follows:
For the Pre-Intermediate (Level 3) CEL program, the IELTS score required is 3.5 - 4, the TOEFL score required is 32-40, and the PTE Academic score required is 29-36.
For the Intermediate (Level 4) CEL program, the IELTS score required is 4.5, the TOEFL score required is 45, and the PTE Academic score required is 30-52.
