Yes, you are eligible for UGC NET exam if your Diploma/degree/certificate from a foreign university is equivalent to a Master's degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

Hello,
Candidates those who want to make career in the lectureship and Research programme must prepare and appear for the National Eligibility test. The UGC NET Exam is conducted in the month of June and December month usually. Now if we talk about the Eligibility than the candidates are eligible for the UGC NET Exam, if they have completed the Masters or post-graduation in the Law with at least 55% marks (50 % marks if Reserved CAT. Hello,
The UGC NET Exam is conducted for the students aspiring to make career in the lectureship and Research programme. You are eligible to appear in the UGC NET Exam by completing the post graduation in Pharmacy. There are some eligibility criteria for this. You must complete the Masters with atleast 55 % marks (50% marks for the Reserved CAT. Candidates). Yes, you can pursue PG in Sociology softer completing graduation in Physics. Because to apply for PG, you just need to qualify the graduation. As you ask, are you eligible for UGC NET so you can appear for the UGC NET exam in your qualifying year of post graduation or after qualify it. Hello Saurabh,
As per the official guideline, the candidates can apply for the subject of their post-graduation and it's related subjects only. The Science stream candidates can apply for the CSIR NET for five subjects while other stream candidate candidates can apply for the UGC NET for one of the 85 subjects. Both the UGC NET and CSIR NET exam are held for the same purpose that is to determine the eligibility for assistant professor posts in the universities or colleges and for the junior research fellowship award.

The UGC NET Exam dates for the December month is out the exam is from 18 Dec 2018. Environmental Science is a major subject of National Eligibility test. Hello Shruti,As you have Botany in M.Sc , you can apply for both UGC NET and CSIR NET exam. According to the UGC NET and CSIR NET guidelines, you can appear for the exam in your post-graduation subject or in similar to that. According to your subject, you can apply for UGC NET Environmental Science and CSIR NET Life Sciences. You need to score minimum 55% aggregate marks. Those students who completed the Masters or Post graduation in a particular subject, there are some eligibility criteria. You need 55% marks in the post-graduation to appear in the National Eligibility test. Whereas, the candidates from the reserved category needs 50% marks. There is no age limit to appear in the National Eligibility test, but to avail the JRF Fellowship, the age limit is 30 years (35 years for the Female and Reserved category candidates.)
