The placements data on BSc courses at Anna University is currently unavailable on official sources. So, here is the comparsion between two universities on the basis of their PG programme placements, during 2022 placements, 440 PG (2-year) students were placed at Madars University, whereas, 2,114 total students were placed during Anna University placements 2022. Further, Madras University has disclosed the median package, whereas, Anna University has released the average package officially. The University of Madras offers two MBA programs:

    • MBA (Regular): This is a full-time, two-year MBA programme offered by the Department of Management Studies (DOMS).
    • Executive MBA (Self-Supportive): This is a part-time programme designed for working professionals. It's offered through the Institute of Distance Education (IDE).

Students seeking admission in Madras University distance MBA programme can visit any of the learning support centres and complete the admission formalities.Applicants must have an undergraduate (UG) degree with the last 45–50% of their marks to be considered for admission to Madras University's MBA program. Madras University Distance Education Institute admissions are open throughout the year in the academic year stream (Jul to Jun) as well as the calendar year stream (Jan to Dec). Candidates must take part in the Institute of Distance Education, University of Madras admission process as soon as the admission window opens.

For admission to the BSc course, candidates must have secured minimum marks in Class 12 decided by the college. The college accepts the score of CBSE 12th,  ISC,  Tamilnadu 12th, and various other scores for admission to the BSc and other UG courses. The minimum ISC score required at Madras University Distance Education can be checked on the official website of the college.

Institute of Distance Education University of Madras is not more expensive than the University of Madras. The distance education course fee is less than the fee for the regular college or university. This is due to the fact that offering distance education is not very expensive. The costs like canteen charges, transportation charges, electricity charges, and various other charges can be saved while providing distance education which is not the case for regular college or university.
