AMU Entrance Exam 2023 - The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is accepting the AMU entrance exam 2023 applications for various courses till March 25 to 29, 2023 with late fee INR 300 at amucontrollerexams.com. The entrance exam for AMU BA LLB 2023 will be held on May 14, 2023, and for BA/BSc/BCom courses, it will be held on April 30, 2023. The online applications for CUET 2023 has been extended till March 30. CUET 2023 exam dates have been announced, and it will be held from May 21 to 31, 2023. What is AMU Entrance Exam?

AMU entrance exam is conducted by Aligarh Muslim University for the selection of candidates for admission in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The exam is held in offline mode across selected cities in India. The pattern of the entrance exam varies from course to course. Based on the marks of the candidates in the AMU entrance test, a merit list for admission is drawn. Counselling is conducted based on merit and seats are granted for admission in various courses.

AMU Entrance Exam 2023 Application Form

AMUEE 2023 application form has been provided on the official website - https://amucontrollerexams.com/. The candidates need to fill the online application form, and submit it with application fee. The process to apply for AMU CUET 2023 is as under:

  1. Sign up with details like name, mobile number, email id, date of birth, etc
  2. Login using your email and password.
  3. Your Dashboard for filling out the form appears on the screen.
  4. Single Registration is sufficient for applying to the multiple courses by a candidate.
  5. Before filling out the application form candidates must have the following ready.
  • Scanned copy of colored Photo with white background, Signature, and Thumb Impression (Left Hand Thumb Impression for every candidate) of the Candidate in JPG format ONLY. The file size of each should be less than 200 KB
  • Email address & Mobile number.
  • Online Banking details/Debit Card/Credit Card.
  • Details of qualifying examination

Application fee: Candidates can pay the application fee in online mode through net banking/ debit card/ credit card. The fee varies from course to course and ranges from INR 450 to INR 850.

AMUEE Admission Process 2023

The admission process of Aligarh Muslim University is as follows:

 

  • Online application – Candidates fill and submit the application form for the AMU entrance exam OR CUET exam in online mode at the official website of amucontrollerexams.com or cuet.samarth.ac.in respectively. The candidates also need to pay the application fee as per their courses.  
  • Issuing admit card – AMU or NTA will issue admit cards to candidates who registered and submitted the application form before the last date successfully. The admit card of AMUEE or CUET will mention details about the examination, candidates and the allotted test centre name and location.
  • Appearing for the test – Candidates have to appear for the examination at the allotted test centre as per the examination schedule.
  • Announcement of results – The University will declare the results of the AMU entrance exam for each course separately. The results will be available in the form of a merit list of qualified candidates as well as waitlisted candidates. CUET results will be declared for all courses on the same day. Candidates will be able to check results on the official website by login.
  • Counselling process – AMU will conduct the counselling process of each course based on merit lists and waitlists. The candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria, qualifying criteria and other requirements will be allotted seats.

AMUEE 2023 Pattern

The exam pattern of the AMU entrance exam varies from course to course. However, all the admission tests and the departmental admission tests will be held in offline mode only. Candidates have to take the exams in OMR sheets. The medium of all tests shall be English, except where a question paper is set in a language other than English.

Negative Marking: Incorrect answers shall result in a negative score of 25 per cent of the marks allotted to the question. For instance, if the correct answer to a question would get the candidate one mark, the incorrect answer would take away 0.25 marks. However, the provision of negative marking will not be applicable in the admission tests of PhD and vocational courses under Community College.

AMUEE 2023 Admit Card

Aligarh Muslim University releases the admit card for the entrance exam to be held across the nation for admission to various courses. The admit cards are made available under the respective login of the candidates over the official website. Admit cards for AMU entrance exam 2023 will never be sent via post. 

AMU issues the admit card to appear in the admission / departmental test only to those candidates whose application form, complete in all respects, has been submitted successfully on the Controller’s website on or before the last date of filling. 

Candidates will also have to paste their recent passport size colour photograph in the space provided on the downloaded admit card. The photo must be the same as the one affixed on the application form. Via the admit card candidates will be allotted their exam centre with its detailed address and name.

In case there are errors in the admit card: The candidate should immediately contact the concerned application form handling office in case of any discrepancy in the admit card.

AMUEE Exam Day Instructions 2023

Here are a few exam day instructions for the candidates going to appear for AMU entrance test / Departmental tests:

  • On the day of the exam, candidates have to carry their own stationery items.
  • Eatables / Beverages (except drinking water) are not allowed inside the entrance exam hall.
  • The candidates will be allowed to enter the exam hall 15 minutes before the test starts.
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall 15 minutes after the test has started.
  • Handbag / Carry bag / Mobile phone/calculator/watch / any other electronic gadget will not be allowed inside the exam hall.
  • Candidates should use only a ballpoint pen (black/blue) for making entries in the question booklet and the OMR answer sheet.

AMU Entrance Exam 2023 Result

The result of the AMU entrance exam will be released online on the website of AMU, amucontrollerexams.com. AMU Entrance Exam 2023 result will be available in the form of a list of shortlisted candidates for Interview / GD / Counselling, as well as, the lists of those selected for admission is displayed on the notice boards of the concerned Department / Faculty / College / Centre / Proctor’s Office / Controller’s website. 

The exam authority will prepare three lists - form selection, chance-memo, and special category lists. 

The AMU entrance exam 2023 results for various courses will be announced on different dates for undergraduate and postgradutate courses. 

AMU Entrance Exam 2023 Answer Key

The University will release the answer keys of the MCQ based admission / departmental tests within a few days of conducting the exam. Also, the candidates are provided with an opportunity to challenge the answer keys in case of any doubt in the answer on the website amucontrollerexams.com.

Challenging the answer keys: Candidates are given an opportunity to challenge the answer key online against the payment of a non-refundable processing fee of INR 100/- per answer challenged. The challenge is to be made within 48 hours of the display of the answer key.

Final answer key: If the challenges are accepted then the answer key will be revised and a final key will be revised. Based on the final answer key only, the result of the AMU admission test / departmental test will be calculated.

AMU Entrance Exam 2023 Counselling 

AMU counselling process is held in online mode as per the counselling schedule of each course. Candidates who have qualified for admissions can visit the official website - amucontrollerexams.com to participate in the counselling process. The merit list/ qualified candidates list has been published on the website mentioning roll numbers of qualified candidates.

The selected candidates are called for AMU admission. A separate notification for counselling is issued for the course of study concerned, wherever applicable.

Candidates shortlisted for counselling have to report for counselling and clearly specify their order of preference of Course / Branch / Main Subject / Stream / Specialization / School from among those listed under the course of study concerned as per the notified procedure.

Selected candidates shall be allotted Course / Branch / Main Subject / Stream / Specialization / School on merit, as per preference indicated by them. A candidate who has been selected for a higher preference will have no claim for lower preferences.

To fill our the application form, candidates will have to register for AMU entrance ex and select the course- B.A. LL.B. Successfully registered candidates will be issued AMU B.A. LL.B. Admit card 2023 a few days before the exam.
