For admission to a BTech course in GNDU, aspirant should be a Class 12 pass with at least 50% aggregate from a board recognised or established by the Central/State government through legislation with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The minimum required aggregate for SC candidates is 45%. Moreover, the candidates must hold the relevant documents as well for verification purposes during form filling and admission confirmation.

Additionally, admission to BTech course is based on JEE Main/ UPCET score or merit in the last qualifying exam. To be eligible for BTech at Mumbai University affiliated colleges, students must fulfil the below eligibility criteria:
- They must be a pass in Class 12 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects and have a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for backward categories students from Maharashtra)
- For Biomedical and Biotech Engineering specialisations: Candidates, along with the specialisation mentioned above, must have Biology as a qualifying exam with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for backward categories students from Maharashtra)

In order to pursue BTech from an MU-affiliated college, the selection is based on merit scores obtained by the students in Class 12 followed by a valid score/ rank in MHT-CET or JEE Main. MU admission to all courses starts in the month of June and the deadline for filling up and submitting the Mumbai University admission form and pre-admission online enrollment form for UG programmes is usually June.

To be eligible for the IIIT Sonepat BTech programme, a candidate must pass Class 12 from a recognised board with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational programme as compulsory subjects. Moreover, a minimum of 75% aggregate is required for the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIT) Sonepat admissions.
