This is the open university established by an act of legislature for benefit of students who are not in a position to attend regular college. It seems that the university indeed is offering single subject bachlors degree. But then many universities across India also offer single subject BA. Do don't worry. IGNOU is the university formed by central govt and is recognised by UGC and AIU. Hence degrees awarded by it are also recognised by other universities in India. Hence don't worry. You can apply in JNU based on degree of IGNOU.
