Electronics and Communication branch has got wider options and easier life compared to Mechanical Engineers and ECE is considered as a tougher branch to get into when compared to Mechanical Engineering. While choosing colleges for Engineering or MS in Electronics and Communication, look for colleges which offers highest placement. Another important aspect, while choosing a college is the lab facility they offer. Unlike computer science, which requires only computers and softwares, ECE departments require extensive electronics circuits, microprocessor and communications lab. Hands on experience in labs will help you get a good exposure in this field. So, make a detailed enquiry about the lab facility before joining.

There are several private jobs and government jobs in India for which the ECE engineers are eligible like most of the UPSC jobs, Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Airforce and other defense departments. Alongside you can apply for various technical jobs in various ministries of Indian Government. Alongside, you can get jobs in the top companies like Google, Microsoft, Intel, Wipro and etc. My cousin Brother has done B.Tech ECE from Lovely Professional University so I have idea about this University. Dear Bharath, EEE involves electronics and electrical study while ECE involves study of electronics and some part of communications. In core companies, demand of EEE is more in comparison to ECE. Whereas ECE students can apply for IT companies as well. EEE students don't have much scope in IES while ECE students have. So, you can choose as per your interest. The opportunities and the exposure for any stream matters alot and also the University from where you join to pursue your degree. Being an alumnus of LPU I would prefer LPU as it has helped me grow professionally and provides exposure to various opportunities. LPU is better option

CSE: Job openings for Software professionals is much higher in the corporate sector than in public sector. There is a huge scope of placements in CSE.
