Yes, GIBS Bangalore is considered a good option for students interested in entrepreneurship because the college puts a lot of focus on practical learning, innovation, and business thinking rather than only classroom theory.

One thing many students mention is that entrepreneurship is encouraged through activities where students get chances to work on ideas, projects, presentations, and problem-solving instead of only studying management concepts.

  • Focus on innovation and practical learning through the IRE (Innovation, Research & Entrepreneurship) approach
  • Opportunities to work on business ideas, projects, and startup-related activities

At GIBS Bangalore, students get multiple specialisation options, so you are not forced to stick to only one area from the beginning. One good thing is that students also get an option for dual specialization, which helps if you want knowledge across two domains and want broader career opportunities.

The specializations generally include:

  • Finance – for banking, finance, investment, analyst, and related roles

  • Marketing – for sales, branding, digital marketing, and business development roles

  • Human Resources (HR) – for recruitment, talent management, and people-related roles

As a student, what I personally felt was that the main focus was not only academics. It felt more like helping students become ready for jobs and real work life.

What I felt during my time there:

  • Focus on learning things beyond textbooks

  • Lots of presentations, projects, and activities

  • Encouragement to participate and build confidence

  • Exposure through internships, workshops, and events

  • Helping students become more prepared for placements and careers

For me, the overall feeling was simple — study, learn new things, build confidence, and leave college with better skills than when you joined.

Yes, GIBS Business School supports its students in organizing and managing a variety of academic, cultural, sporting, and management events with the assistance and counsel of their professors. The result is that students gain valuable hands-on experience and develop critical management skills.

From my experience, extracurricular activities at GIBS helped me a lot because college life was not only about classes and assignments. I personally joined many clubs, participated in fests, events, competitions, and different activities, and I feel these experiences helped me become more confident and active.

What I liked is that participating in clubs and activities gave me chances to interact with different people, work in teams, and learn many things beyond academics. Personally, I feel these experiences helped me grow both personally and professionally.
