One of the major suggestions made by faculty at GIBS to assist students in obtaining success to attain their target goal is:
“Concentration should be placed on strong types of soft skills and technical knowledge.”
- It isn't only about what you know but how you tell others;
- along with having skills such as confidence, team work, problem analysing, and presenting there are a lot - many students who have average academic records also obtained good jobs due to strong communications and attitude.
Another suggestion that faculty state they emphasise is; “Begin preparation the day you start, not just when it is time to find a placement.”

Admissions at GIBS are flexible but not strictly 'direct' as the term would imply.
Here's how it works:
Entrance exams are preferred.
- Students can take any of the following: CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc. to be considered for PGDM admission. Entrance exams will almost always have to be taken; however, depending on the student's GPA, General Admission assessment (skills/achievement), and their performance in both a Group Discussion (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI), an applicant might not have to take the entrance exam.
Admissions to the BBA at GIBS do not require an entrance exam.
- Admission is based on the student's marks earn
