Yes. At Global Institute of Business Studies (GIBS Bangalore), students really get a chance to go beyond the classroom. It's known as one of the Best B-schools in Bangalore with industry exposure, and they make sure you get practical learning along with opportunities to grow globally.

They encourage students to take part in international exchange programs and even dual degree options, which is great if you want exposure to global business practices. Personally, it feels really motivating because you get to see how business works in different countries while still being supported by the college. It's a great way to learn, grow, and

I like how GIBS Business School focuses on providing practical skills through hands-on experience and real-life business scenarios that prepare me for work after graduation. I am also impressed by their dual specialisation option, allowing me to study multiple areas of business. This is an advantage to me as it gives me a wider range of career opportunities once I complete my studies.

The school has excellent placement support, and there is a large number of companies associated with the institution who provide valuable work experience opportunities through guest lectures, internship programs, live projects and skills training.

For admission to the PGDM and MBA programs at GIBS Bangalore, there isn't a fixed cutoff every year, but generally, students are expected to have decent scores in their entrance exams.

  • CAT: Around 60 percentile or above

  • XAT: Around 60 percentile or above

  • CMAT: Around 60 percentile or above

  • MAT: Around 60 percentile or above

  • GMAT: Usually 450–500 and above

These scores are just a general guideline. GIBS also considers your academics, group discussion, and personal interview performance, so doing well overall is more important than just the exam score.

For admission to the PGDM and MBA programs at Global Institute of Business Studies Bangalore, the college accepts common management entrance exams that many business schools use in India.

Usually, they consider scores from exams like:

  • CAT

  • MAT

  • CMAT

  • XAT

  • KMAT / State Level MBA Entrance (if applicable)

These exams help the college understand your aptitude for management studies. Apart from exam scores, they may also look at your academic record and performance in group discussions and personal interviews during the selection process.

This gives students multiple options to apply and increases the chances of getting into the program.

The biggest challenge in the GIBS PGP‑IRE programme is that it asks you to think and work like you are running a real business. It's not just about studying from books—it's about trying ideas, solving problems, and learning by doing.

  • You need to take responsibility for your projects and ideas

  • Work on tasks that feel like real business challenges

  • Manage your time and stay organized

  • Step out of your comfort zone and try new things

It can feel tough at times, but that's also what makes it exciting. By the end of the program, you gain confidence, practical skills, and a better understanding of how businesses work.
