I was interested in knowing this before joining too because I wanted a college that encouraged new ideas, not just placements.

At GIBS Bangalore, students who are interested in startups get opportunities to work on their ideas through entrepreneurship activities, mentoring sessions, startup events, idea presentations, and interactions with founders and industry experts. The college encourages students to think beyond regular jobs and gives them a platform to develop their ideas.

As for the number of startups, I don't know the exact count, so I wouldn't want to give the wrong figure. But during my time, I saw many students working on business ideas and presenting startup concepts through different innovation initiatives on campus.

For me, what made GIBS Bangalore special was the overall experience, not just the academics.

I never felt like I was just going to college, attending classes, and coming back home. There was always something to be part of—guest talks, workshops, industry visits, internships, presentations, club activities, and events. It kept us engaged and helped us learn in different ways.

Another thing I liked was that the college gave students plenty of chances to step out of their comfort zone. Whether it was speaking on stage, working in a team, or interacting with industry professionals, I felt I became much more confident by the end of my course.
