Every year, GIBS Business School conducts multiple conferences, conclaves, and the flagship events listed below to connect students with industry leaders, thinkers, and innovators worldwide:

1. IRE Conference and Awards - The IRE Conference is GIBS's signature annual conference focusing on Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship through keynote speakers, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and recognition of achievements from all over the world in different sectors of industry.
2. Global IRE Summit: Campus Biz Day and Finance Conclave - These events highlight student entrepreneurship, business strategic thought leadership and finance trends by showcasing the work of students with involvement from corporate leaders and academic experts. 
3. TEDxGIBS Bangalore - The TEDxGIBS event presents various motivational speakers to an audience of students to communicate "Ideas Worth Spreading". This allows students to develop their creativity in thinking and confidence in communicating.
4. HR Conclave and Alumni Meet - This event welcomes students and alumni to meet and connect with human resource leaders. It serves as a source for learning, career guidance, and professional networking for students.
5. Marketing Conclave and Other Thematic Conclaves - GIBS organises several themed conclaves such as the Marketing Conclave that focus on specific sectors to provide insights and strategies relevant to each respective section.
6. Convocation and Student of the Year Award Events - This event recognises both academic and holistic accomplishments and celebrates each student's success and the spirit of connectedness within the community it has created.

Yes, in fact, GIBS has its own internal recognitions and awards system to recognize excellence in academics, leadership and co-curricular activities, among others. GIBS hosts annual award ceremonies such as the “Student of the Year” event to celebrate its top academic achievers and students who have made outstanding overall contributions to life on campus.

The following awards recognize the top achievers:

• Shakuntala Devi Award – awarded to the student who is the top academic performer in both BBA and PGDM;
•  Atal Bihari Vajpayee Award – awarded to the student who is the second-best academic performer;
•  J. P. Goyal Memorial Award – The Student of the Year awarded to an individual based on a combination of academic performance, leadership, co-curricular management and social contribution.

In addition to these main awards, GIBS also has awards such as research or special achievement awards, society based performance awards and leadership recognition, that assist in motivating students to excel in both academic and extra-curricular areas of development.

These awards help to foster a community of high performers, leaders, and overall personal growth within the GIBS student community.

The new GIBS campus has an amazing combination of many different things such as beautiful plants and trees, well-equipped laboratories, and spaces for hosting events. Having an abundance of nature makes it peaceful and provides a fresh atmosphere for students to relax and enjoy themselves while focusing on their studies. At the same time, there are all of the necessary facilities that allow for hands-on experience and development of skill sets, such as Laboratory Equipment, Digital Classrooms, and High-tech Facilities. The other spaces on the campus that include auditoriums and large outdoor areas lend themselves to being a great venue for hosting events, seminars, cultural programs, and networking with business professionals. All of these elements combined make the GIBS campus more than just a school. It creates an environment that will allow for students to reach their full potential and give them the opportunity to experience all that college life has to offer.

The campus of GIBS Mind Valley stretches over 10 acres of beautiful green land and provides a tranquil and refreshing atmosphere for students to decompress, concentrate, and have an enjoyable college experience each day. Being surrounded by ample green space and nature makes it convenient for students to relax between their periods of classes and gives them a break from both city noises and academic pressure. Furthermore, walking paths, grassy lawns and nature can help ease tension, enhance concentration, and boost overall mental health. The layout of the campus is open and promotes students to be outdoors with their friends, brainstorm or just relax after a busy day. In addition, the fresh air and quiet surroundings make it easier for students to concentrate during classes as well as while studying alone. Lastly, the facilities of the campus create an overall conducive environment for balanced college life through various community events, activities, and social skills in a pleasant and inviting environment. The events at GIBS, the flagship events (such as the IRE Conference, startup competitions, and network evenings), play a fundamental role in providing the opportunity to form relationships with industry leaders through practical and personal means. Those who attend will have the opportunity to hear about the experience that the CEO, founder, investor, senior manager has experienced; to hear about current trends in the industry; and to receive tips for their career—this is very different from reading about them in a textbook and is invaluable to students' education. At startup competitions, students can pitch their ideas and receive real-time feedback from industry professionals; these experiences provide students an understanding of how real businesses are assessed of value. Networking evenings give students access to professionals in an informal environment where they can interact with them on a one-on-one basis, ask them questions, and potentially exchange contact information and explore possible internship opportunities. Through regular attendance at these events, the students develop confidence and communication skills and create strong professional contacts. Many students have developed new contacts which lead to mentorship opportunities, project work, or job interviews through attendance at these events. Overall, these flagship programs ensure that our students gain exposure and develop relationships with professionals through their attendance at many of these events, allowing them to be prepared for the industry and develop connections before they graduate .

GIBS has established an extensive and varied corporate network that continually provides students with placement, internship, and industry engagement opportunities in many different sectors. This year alone over 260 companies visited the campus for recruiting during the recent placement cycle illustrating a wide variety of companies from which students can be placed versus relying on too few. The key industries from which these companies represent are banking & finance, IT/Consulting, FMCG/E-Commerce, Analytics, Manufacturing and Supply chain/Operations which provide students with placement opportunities in finance, marketing, HR and Operations to Analytics and Digital business.

In addition to traditional corporate recruitment, startups and emerging businesses are heavily involved in placement and internship drive programs across GIBS providing fast-growing opportunities, flexible roles and entrepreneurial experience that complement traditional corporate recruiting. The combination of large corporations recruiting at GIBS combined with the entrepreneurial experience provided by startup companies offers students a wide range of career options based on their individual strengths and preferences.

Overall, the breadth and multi-sectors of GIBS corporate network as well as now including startups, significantly adds to the practical experience student have as well as the relevance of their degrees leading to higher possibility of being hired upon graduating from either the PGDM or BBA program.
