Candidates are selected for IIAD UG and PG programmes on the basis of the following:
- Performance in the IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT) or iMAT (for management programmes)
- Performance in the Studio Test/Personal Interview
- Portfolio review (for some programmes)

The process is similar, but PG applicants (M.Des / MBA) are assessed using iMAT instead of iDAT, and emphasis may be placed more on portfolio, work experience, or interview performance.

No. The IIAD result is final and binding. Re-evaluation is not available as the process includes interviews and subjective assessments.

Indian Institute of Art and Design considers Class 12 and graduation aggregate secured from recognised board and university/institute. Furthermore, candidates must secure valid scores in iDAT and iMAT to qualify for the further process. Furthemore, candidates must appear for the personal interview round for the final shortlisting. For final admission, candidates must appear for the document verification and pay the fees to confirm a seat.

For a successful admission to IIAD Delhi, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria by securing a minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 12 and graduation. In addition to this, candidates must secure valid scores in iDAT and iMAT. Along with this, candidates just qualify personal interview to seek final admission.
After a successful application submission, candidates will be shortlisted based on the secured scores through iDAT and iMAT. Furthermore, candidates will be shortlisted based on the personal interview and examination scores. For final admission, shortlisted candidates must pay the fees and confirm the seat.

Indian Institute of Art and Design offers Fashion Business Management as a PG level programme. The Institute offers the respectice course on the basis of merit and valid scores of accepted entrance exam. The Institute offers the course with a total tuition fees worth INR 10 Lakh. Admission to the respective course is offered on the basis of minimum aggregate secured in graduation in any stream or discipline obtained from a recognised university/institute.
