A similar question was asked a day before.
Though the number of students from engineering background is in majority DMS IIT Delhi believes in diversity.
The bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) or 6.00 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in the qualifying degree.
So you are definitely eligible for applying. Along with this, you need to score at least 90 percentile to apply. To be the final covert you have to score around 9

HSEE is a test which is one of its kind, which admits students to a five-year integrated masters programme in humanities and social sciences subjects offered by only IIT, Madras. IIT, Kanpur does not provide this course.

To be very honest, life doesn't end without getting into an IIT. So if you want your brother to start a fresh with B.Tech. In IIT I'd say, it's really not a good option. Answering the question, first of all IITs do not entertain mid program joining so he'll have to start fresh. Second, if he really wants to enter IIT whatsoever then he should prepare for the JEE Mains and Advanced, get a rank and Kudos. He is in IIT. But he still has to fight, life is no simpler in IIT and the struggle is real.

96.3 percentile is the minimum you would have to get for admission in IIT Delhi,management department. They accept not only CAT but also CMAT,XAT, MAT, GMAT and SNAP.

IIT, Delhi Department of Management Science conducted a placement drive for MBA batch with over 30% student getting pre-placement offers from their Internship company. A total of 62 student of the outgoing batch got these offers for higher level position in the company out of 49 company which visited IIT, Delhi for placement 24 were new recruiter. No, IIT-Delhi doesn't offer B.Tech in robotics but there is a robotics club which is the place for all robotics enthusiasts in the college.

The course outline of mechanical in IIT Delhi or IIT Bombay is similar and is quite well aligned with the course structure of top ranked international universities and the mechanical is one of the most desired and demanded branches in the IITs.
