Yes, your information is absolutely right. IPU has decided to utilize ranking of students in JEE Mains exam to give admission to students in their engineering courses. This had helped students to avoid preparing and appearing for one more entrance exam and at the same time it has helped the university in avoiding all the hassles that are associated with conducting an entrance exam. You can get B.Tech IT in private colleges. The minimum eligibility criteria for many private colleges is 50% and 45% for reserved categories. So you can apply in private colleges. Hope this helps you.

Firstly, your question appears to be of theoretical nature because National Testing Agency has not yet announced its results and without that, no student can know his all India rank. 0k, be that as it may, but let me tell you that it is simply impossible to calculate the OBC rank based on the All India Rank because there is no mathematical relation between these two. I would strongly advise you to wait for a few days since National Testing Agency is expected to announce the date for the result in a day or two which is expected to be before the end of this month.

It depends upon the cut-off that university releases. However, you might get a seat. Your chances are good.
