Yes, you have chances to get into NITs and GFTIs, but you will never get your choice of specialization. You have to opt for odd specializations like paper engineering and textile engineering.

As per your rank in WBJEE you may get some NITs like NIT Silchar and NIT Srinagar, however, I will recommend you to go for LNMIT Jaipur or Thapar University. You may check here as well to get more insights:

Hello Rishabh,
HBTU is a government colleges so you can't get admission there via management quota, and as per your rank, your chances are nil for getting admission there, you need to score more than 150 marks in JEE Mains to get there, so look forward for any decent private colleges.

If your rank is 18000, you will get NIT and IIIT. I can't say about CSE but you will get other branches. Preferring VIT over NIT IIIT is what I feel is not good. You can even get CSE in other private colleges having more exposure to coding. Good luck.

JEE Mains Paper 2 is for architecture. Since IIT Roorkee conducts this course, you can take admission in B.Arch provided you have good rank. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
