It depends on you. If you want to be a part of IIT, then you need proper guidance and study materials. I would advise you to join IIT-JEE coaching, where they will show you right path to crack the entrance of IIT.

The best private colleges conducts their own entrance exam for admission, but there are still many colleges, where you try through JEE Mains. If you have good marks, then they will provide you scholarship.

Hello Shivam,
There is a wide difference in AIR's of students admitted in AIT for different streams. But then, AIR calculation method has changed from this year onwards. Also, all the seats are reserved only for the wards of serving or retired Army personnel.

Syllabus for all students who appear for JEE Mains is the same. There is no different syllabus for engineering Diploma holders.

It depends on state quota. If you are from Delhi, then there will be 85% state quota. For outsiders, it is 15%. The other factor is caste, for Muslims 80-90% seats are reserved.

You have to score above 200 to enter into NIT and IIIT. The fee structure in government colleges starts from Rs.40, 000 per annum, while in private, it starts from Rs.1.5 lakhs per year.

You need to fill the JEE-Mains entrance exam. For preparation, you can refer to NCERT books. You must take regular tests to evaluate your preparation. Students clearing JEE Mains will be able to sit for JEE Advance. JEE Mains focus mainly on basic concepts. JEE Advanced will test mainly on application part of concepts.
