Hello,
You do stand a chance of getting into an NIT with a 74.5 percentile in JEE Mains as a General-PwD candidate. However, you might find it slightly difficult to get CSE because it's a very competitive stream. All is not lost, though! You may still get CSE in the more recent NITs or during the later rounds of counseling when seats sometimes become available. It's also worth looking into related fields such as IT or ECE, which also enjoy good career prospects. Stay optimistic and maintain your options. Best of luck with your admissions!

Your, prospects of getting into prestigious NITs or IITs in-demand fields like computer Science or electronics are slim if your JEE Main rank is 17000 and your JEE Advanced rank is 20000. Other respectable NITs and branches however might provide you prospects.

NIT Kurukshetra: Production, Industrial and Civil Engineering
Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at NIT Durgapur
NIT Silchar: Civil and Mechanical Engineering

If you are a female candidate with an OBC-NCL rank of 18,663 and a JEE Main percentile of 95.98 you have a good chance of getting into some National Institutes of Technology (NITs) Numerous NITs provide possibilities in different engineering fields even though popular branches like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and top NITs may have higher cutoffs.

It may be difficult to get a spot in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the prestigious National Institutes of Technology (NITs) with a JEE Main rank of 39136 under NRI (Non-Resident Indian) quota because their cutoffs are usually substantially higher. A Common Rank List (CRL) rank of 286,843, a SC category rank of 16,644, and an 80.7 percentile in JEE Main could make it difficult to get into Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs) or National Institutes of Technology (NITs). For SC candidates, the qualifying cutoff has typically been in the 65 percentile.
NIT and GFTI admission cutoffs, on the other hand are usually higher with SC category closing ranks frequently falling below 10,000. Examining private or state engineering universities may provide higher entrance prospects given your existing standing.

- Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. They must have also secured a minimum of 75% aggregate score (there is relaxation for other categories).
