Candidates having Master's Degree with atleast 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-Point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). A Relaxation of 5% marks from 55% to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of grade will be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/EBC/BC/Differently able categories of candidates.

Candidates, who have completed a Master's degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC, ST, PwD, BC category) from Panjab University, Chandigarh, or equivalent university are considered eligible for admission to the Ph.D. programme.

- Those with a master's degree are qualified to apply for a Ph.D. programme. You must have a master's degree in a field, course, or stream that is related to the Ph.D. you want to pursue with at least 55% marks.
