IIFT Delhi PhD admission is done on the basis of candidates' performance in the written test conducted by IIFT. Candidates further need to take part in the personal interview round to shortlist the candidates. These shortlisted candidates are further eligible to take admission. To confirm their seats, the selected candidates need to pay the required amount of fee within the due date as prescribed by the institute.

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to PhD at IIFT Delhi is a valid Master's/MPhil degree with at least 55% aggregate. IIM Udaipur PhD eligibility criteria includes a Master’s Degree in any discipline, with at least 55% aggregate and Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification with at least 50% aggregate (minimum three years of bachelor’s level education after the completion of higher secondary schooling). (or) A professional qualification (completed) such as CA (ICAI), ICWA, CS with a Bachelor's degree (or) A four year/eight semester Bachelor's degree with 6.5 CGPA or equivalent.

The University conducts its own entrance test for admission to PhD programme. Any candidate, who has done master’s in the relevant discipline of law, can apply for the same. The final selection of students will be based on the entrance test scores and the performance in PI. Eligibility criteria for the PhD programme is given below:
