Ph.D Eligibility

Admission to PhD is based on ZCOER PhD Entrance Test scores, followed by PI. UGC-NET (including JRF), CSIR NET (including JRF)-qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance exam but are required to appear for the PI round.

Candidates seeking admission to PhD course at Welingkar Mumbai must have a master's degree with at least 55% aggregate (or equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is followed) or MPhil with at least 55% aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale is required to apply for the PhD course. Final admission to PhD is based on PhD Entrance Test (PET) score conducted by the University of Mumbai followed by a personal interview conducted by the research centre.

Master’s degree in any branch of Engineering /Technology from a recognised university with at least 60% aggregate is the eligibility criteria for PhD in JUIT Solan.  

Candidates willing to seek PhD admission at DOMS IIT Roorkee are shortlisted based on GATE/ UGC NET/ CSIR NET. The final selection is based on their past academic record, score in the entrance exam, and performance in PI round.

Candidates with a proven academic record based on a cut-off of the GATE, CSIR or UGC scorecard or equivalent are eligible to apply for PhD at IIT Jodhpur. The institute shortlist students based on their score in the entrance examination. Shortlisted students need to appear for the personal interview round. Candidates further must hold the relevant documents as a proof of eligibility.

NIT Manipur accepts PhD students' admission on the basis of NET/ GATE scores. Students need to apply online through the official website of NIT Manipur.

Bachelor’s degree in any branch of engineering/technology from a recognised university with at least 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA is the eligibility criteria for PhD in NIT Arunachal Pradesh.

IIIT Bhagalpur offers doctoral-level programme within the department like Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & CommunicationEngineering (ECE), Mechatronics Engineering (MEA) and Basic Science &vHumanities (BSH). The Department wise PhD programme is spread scross multiple specialisations. 

Given below is the eligibility and selection criteria for admission to the PhD programme at IIIT Una.

• MTech in a relevant discipline with a good and consistent academic record.

OR

• BTech with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10.0 point scale (GATE may be exempted for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree from Centrally Funded Technical Institute (CFTI)/ Government Funded Technical Institute (GFTI) with a minimum CGPA of 8.0).
• Selected candidates will be required to report to the admission cell at IIIT Una for document verification and fee payment.
