IITs

BTech in Computer Science Engineering

• Students must have passed Class 12 from any recognized board with at least 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
• Students should be among top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in B.E./B.Tech paper of JEE Main 2025. Qualifying JEE Advanced exam is also necessary.

MTech in Computer Science Engineering

• Students with a Bachelor’s degree in CSE from educational institutions approved by AICTE/ Government are eligible to apply, given they have scored at least 60% marks.
• Students with a B.Tech. Degree from IITs with a CGPA of 8.0 and above can even apply without GATE score.
• Students who have passed M.Sc. or equivalent in any science discipline or MCA or a UG degree like B.Sc. with Physics and Mathematics or BCA can also apply.

PhD in Computer Science Engineering

• Students must have completed post-graduation in CSE or a related discipline with at least 55 to 65% marks.
• admission is based on score obtained in GATE exam.
• Students with a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (4-year programme) with at least 75 percent marks/7.5 CPI and a valid GATE score can also apply.

NITs

BTech in Computer Science Engineering

• Students must have passed Class 12 from any recognized board with a minimum of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects. A valid rank in JEE Main is also required.
• There is no particular age limit for admission.

MTech in Computer Science Engineering

• Students must have passed Bachelor's degree with at least 60% marks. Candidates must secure 6.5 CGPA or 60% for GEN-EWS, whereas 6.0 CGPA or 55% in case of PwD candidates.
• They must have a valid GATE score of year 2023 / 2024 / 2025.

PhD in Computer Science Engineering

• Students must have got 60% marks in M Tech in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• Students passed B.Tech (with valid GATE) in CSE with at least 75% marks under GEN/ OBC-NCL/ GEN-EWS category or 70% under SC/ ST/ PwD category are also eligible.

Diploma in Computer Science Engineering

Students must have passed Class 10 or its equivalent with at least 35 to 50% marks each in Science and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. They must also have studied English as one of major subjects.

BTech in Computer Science Engineering

• Students must have passed Class 12 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects with at least 50 to 60% marks. A relaxation of 5% marks is given to reserved category students.
• He/She must be a citizen of India.
• Students with a 3-year diploma in Engineering recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education with at least 50 to 55% marks can also apply via lateral entry.

MTech in Computer Science Engineering

Students must hold a B.E./BTech Computer Science Engineering degree or a related degree with at least 55 to 60% marks in graduation.

PhD in Computer Science Engineering

Students must hold a master’s degree in CSE or a related field with at least 55% marks and clear relevant entrance tests.

BTech in Computer Science Engineering

• Students must have passed Class 12 in Science stream with at least 45 to 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
• Several colleges also offer merit-based admissions, considering Class 12 board exam marks. In this case, students have to appear for GD or PI rounds as well after result declaration.

MTech in Computer Science Engineering

• Students must have scored 55 to 60% marks in qualifying degree and appear for online entrance test conducted at national/state/college level.

PhD in Computer Science Engineering

Students must hold a master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field with at least 60% marks and clear relevant entrance tests.

BTech in Computer Science Engineering

Students must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. Besides this, they should also have secured a minimum of 50 to 60 percent in above subjects combined.

MTech in CSE

Students must have completed a BTech in CSE or a relevant specialization with at least 55 percent marks.

Diploma in CSE

Students must have passed Class 10 with at least 50 percent marks with Science and Mathematics subjects and must clear diploma entrance exam.

PhD in CSE

Students must have completed MTech in Computer Science Engineering and clear Research Eligibility Test in order to pursue a PhD course.

JEE Main Syllabus

JEE Main syllabus revolves around three core subjects from Class 11 and Class 12: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each subject will have two sections, sections A and B.

Section A will have multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain numerical value questions. In Section B, students have to attempt any five questions out of 10, and there is no negative marking for Section B.

MHT CET Syllabus

MHT CET exam is of 300 marks which consists of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology of 100 marks each. It gives 20% weightage to syllabus of Class 11 whereas 80% weightage to Class 12th syllabus. Therefore, syllabus is slightly different from JEE Main with respect to weightage of both exams. 

GATE Syllabus

syllabus for GATE varies across various disciplines and topics such as Verbal Ability and Numerical Ability are common topics for all papers. Moreover, syllabus for various specialisations is of graduation-level and candidates' ability to solve reasoning and numerical questions is also tested through this examination.

KEAM Syllabus

entrance examination consists of subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Class 11 and 12 level. KEAM question paper carries a total of 120 objective-type questions.

KCET Syllabus

KCET exam will test students' knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.

Each question in exam will carry one mark with four options, out of which only one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking in exam.
