Yes, the PTE test fee vary based on the location, i.e. countries, and in some cases, cities. However, the base fee for the PTE Academic exam is fixed per country—set by Pearson—and not typically influenced by the specific test centre and date. It is worth noting that there is no late registration fee for the PTE exam and thus, the PTE exam fee does not vary based on when you opt to take the exam.

The PTE Academic exam is conducted at only authorised PTE test centres around the world. These test centres are managed either directly by Pearson VUE or through local authorised partners.
There are 62 PTE test centres in India. These test centres are safe and are equipped with headsets, computers, and any other aid upon request for special accommodations is raised by the test takers. Note that each of these test centres accommodate only 10-15 test takers at a time.

The best test centre for the PTE exam is generally considered the one which is nearby to your current location. This is because the authorities recommend you to reach the exam centre before 30 minutes of thedue exam. If you select a far away exam centre then, you must calculate the traveling time in advance so that you don't get late due to any unforeseen issues. If, however, you choose an exam centre in another city, then make sure you come to the city 1 day ahead of the exam.

No, it's not easy to score 79 or above marks on the PTE Academic exam. A score of 79 on the PTE exam is equivalent to a CEFR C1-C2 level of English, or IELTS band score of 8.0-8.5. Scoring this high score requires advanced proficiency in all four skills - speaking, writing, reading, and listening.
A score of 79+ on the PTE exam simply places you in the top 10-15% of test-takers, globally. Scores, this high, are generally required for the Australian PR, highly skilled migration, or competitive university admissions.
