Yes, for international applicants who are non-native English speakers, the University for the Creative Arts requires English language test scores as proof of their language proficiency. For proof of English language the university accepts IELTS, TOEFL, DUolingo and the Pearson Test of English (PTE). The PTE scores required at the University for the Creative Arts is 59 at every level of course.

The minimum scores required in PTE at RMIT are based on the IELTS score (as base). The range of PTE score accepted is 58-79. Check the scores given below in detail:

58 (no communication band less than 50)

If you reschedule more than 14 days before exam, it is Free. The rescheduling between 7-14 days can cost you pay 50% fee. If less than 7 days, you lose full money, no refund.

Currently, there is no late registration fee for the PTE exam. Candidates can book up to 24 hours in advance of their chosen exam slot without having to pay any extra fee. The PTE exam fee in India is INR 18,000 in 2025.

There is no set format. Candidates who have prior experience with exams would require lesser time than people who are new to the exam. Candidates are advised to be fully prepared before taking the PTE exam as no second chance will be provided. If a test taker doesn't receive their expected scores then they will have to book the PTE exam all over again along with repaying the exam fee to improve their score in the next attempt.

Test takers can bring their own comfort aids to the exam room without making a request in advance. All the comfort aids brought by test takers will be checked before entry to the exam room by the Test Administrator. Here is the list of what all comfort aids are allowed in the PTE exam hall:

  • Tissues
  • Pillow
  • Cough Drop
  • Spectacles
  • Hearing Aid
  • Neck brace or collar
  • Insulin Pump (attached to body)
  • Sweaters
