To study for the PTE exam for free, you can make use of the numerous free resources online, which include following the YouTube channels that provide free lessons for the PTE exam, and you can also download some books and notes online for free. However, many platforms also provide access to free practice tests, and mock tests. You can also go through the official PTE preparation materials and focus on understanding the PTE test format to get your desired score.

Candidates who plan to reschedule the test, with less than 14 calendar days, but at least 8 full calendar days before their test date will be required to pay 50% of the test fee. No refunds will be provided on rescheduling the exam less than 7 calendar days before the exam. Candidates should note that the rescheduling policy does not include your test date.

Candidates who decide not to pursue their PTE Academic test after booking their exam online have up to 14 calendar days before their test date to claim a full refund. Candidates who cancel the test, with less than 14 calendar days, but at least 8 calendar days before their test date will receive a partial refund of 50% of the test fee paid. However, no refunds would be provided to candidates for cancelling the exam less than 7 calendar days before the exam. Candidates should note that the cancellation and reschedule policy does not include your test date.

Currently, there is no late registration fee for the PTE exam. Candidates can book up to 24 hours in advance of their chosen exam slot without having to pay any extra fee. The PTE exam fee in India is INR 18,000 in 2025.

There is no set format. Candidates who have prior experience with exams would require lesser time than people who are new to the exam. Candidates are advised to be fully prepared before taking the PTE exam as no second chance will be provided. If a test taker doesn't receive their expected scores then they will have to book the PTE exam all over again along with repaying the exam fee to improve their score in the next attempt.

Test takers can bring their own comfort aids to the exam room without making a request in advance. All the comfort aids brought by test takers will be checked before entry to the exam room by the Test Administrator. Here is the list of what all comfort aids are allowed in the PTE exam hall:
- Tissues
- Pillow
- Cough Drop
- Spectacles
- Hearing Aid
- Neck brace or collar
- Insulin Pump (attached to body)
- Sweaters

Yes, the Capilano University accept Pearson Test of English (PTE) as a part of their compulsory admission English language requirement from the international students who are from non-native English speaking countries.
The minimum PTE Academic score required at the university is 56. The minimum scores at the university may vary as per the courses and the deparment of program.

The exam conducting body, Pearson PLC Group, specified no specific educational qualifications to register for the PTE exam. The PTE exam is suitable for students, professionals, and migration applicants and open to all Indian applicants (above the age of 16).
