Candidates should understand that there is no such thing as a good PTE Academic score. Every university would have its own PTE Academic score cut-off and students are required to achieve scores equal or higher than the set grade. Candidates should note that a higher PTE Academic score would automatically increase their chances of securing a seat at the university and also make them a front runner for any scholarships being offered by the university.

To book a slot for the PTE Academic online exam, applicants must create an account on the PTE Academic home section by clicking on "Book Now". Filter out PTE exam centre cities and time on the basis of your preferences, click on "Book", pay the fee and secure your spot for the PTE at-home exam. Please note that the PTE Academic Online exam fees is the same as that of the PTE Academic exam's fee.

To book a PTE exam slot, follow these steps -
- register on the "My PTE" portal.
- Log in, answer a few questons like -
- "why do you wish to tae the PTE test"
- "from where will you take the PTE test - your home country or somewhere else"
- "which country are you aiming with the PTE test"
- After anwering these questions, you will get options of the most suitable types of PTE exams based on your condition
- If you opted the reason for taking the PTE exam as "study" for higher education, then you will have to pick the "PTE Academic" option

Shortened from its original duration of 3 hours, the PTE exam is now conducted within 2 hours. However, there will be no change in the format, type of questions asked and the scoring criteria of the Pearson PTE exam. The significant change has been brought about by the reducing the total number of questions asked in the PTE exam, keeping rest everything just the same.
