As informed earlier, the PTE exam fee is very competitively priced and hence, there are no discounts on the PTE test fees. The PTE exam fees for Indian students in 2026 is INR 18,900.

Yes. Candidates should be aware that the PTE registration fee is valid for a single PTE test. Candidates who are looking to appear for a second PTE Academic test would be required to register for the PTE test again and also pay the required PTE exam fees. Hence, candidates are always advised to book their PTE exam slot only after having prepared for the PTE Academic test.

No, the Department of Home Affairs of Australia does not accept any at-home or online test for immigration to the country. The Department only recognises at-centre tests for all visa applications.

Yes. PTE Academic is accepted by the Australian Department of Home Affairs (DHA) as proof of English language proficiency for all visa categories - including Permanent Residency (PR).

Generally, the PTE scores remain valid only for 2 years. However, only in the case of Australian PR, the scores may remain valid for 3 years. Candidates are advised to check the conditions before applying.

The latest advancements in the PTE Academic exam for the year 2025 are given below:
- The PTE exam fee was increased by INR 1000 in 2025 for Indian students. The PTE exam fee, which was INR 17,000 in 2024, has increased to INR 18,000 in 2025.
- The higher education institutes in the Netherlands started accepting the PTE exam for international applications from 2025.
