The University of Cincinnati requires a GRE score of 310 total on all the sections for most PG programs. The courses that require GRE are AI, Architectural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. Also, for some of the programs, GRE score submission is optional.

The University of Cincinnati expects a minimum 3.4 GPA and 3 on a 4 point scale from UG and PG applicants respectively and along with the GPA scores students must focus on aiming for high scores in studies, improving the English language and submitting all the documents. Some of the documents are high school transcripts, a LOR and ACT/SAT scores (optional).

Cincinnati Uni is less selective as its acceptance rate is around 85%. Students who meet the entry criteria and have good academic scores in their previous studies have a higher chance of getting admission. For admission to UG courses, students have to submit the previous year's academic transcripts, LOR (optional), SAT / ACT scores (optional). Whereas, for admission to PG courses, students are required to have a Bachelor's degree.

Foreign students must fulfill the eligibility by holding a ug degree for pg and a high school degree in a relevant discipline for UG. Yes, the University of Cincinnati permits international students to work while studying. International students must fulfil certain requirements that are as follows:
On-campus Employment
- During the academic year, part-time students are permitted to work up to 20 hours a week.
- While classes are in session, international students are permitted to work up to 20 hours a week.
- During breaks, international students are permitted to work up to 40 hours a week.
- For as long as students are enrolled in a full course of study, students are permitted to work.
