Good college with decent academics and less strict attendance.
Placements: The placement opportunities at DAV College are decent. In B.Com, around 16–18% of students get placed. The average package is 3 LPA. Top companies include Infront, Wipro, and ICICI. According to reports, 19 students got internships in Leading Solutions in 2024–25. Around 12–15% of students get internships every year in B.Com in companies like Deloitte, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI, Numera, Amazon, and The Times of India. The roles include leadership, marketing, sales, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good. Wi-Fi is provided to every student with a password and user ID. The classrooms are good in the B.Com department. Some classrooms also have AC. The cleaning and maintenance are good. The library has multiple books and also a separate reading section, with timings such as a break from 1 to 1:30 PM. The college has good records in NCC and NSS. Sports, games, and other club cells are available for students to join. The hostel has all facilities, such as an iron, stationery, and a gym.
Faculty: Teachers are good, but some are not. They teach well, but there is no strictness regarding classes. In my course, all classes are conducted regularly with attendance. The semester exams are at the same level as PU exams. Exams are conducted properly, like final examinations. The passing marks are 15 out of 30. Exams are conducted in a very good manner.

Good and hardworking faculty.
Placements: No top roles are offered by companies for our course. No higher, lower, or average package is offered by companies. Under NEP, internships with Chartered Accountants and tax consultants are provided to students free of cost. Students gain practical knowledge.
Infrastructure: The quality of food in the canteen is tasty and hygienic, but sometimes the variety of food is limited. Other facilities are also available, such as Wi-Fi, medical, and sports facilities. There is a big library for reading and borrowing books for study free of cost.
Faculty: Teachers are very educated, qualified, and also very helpful. The teaching quality is also fine. The semester exams held in our college are easy. Anyone can easily score good marks by studying before exams instead of throughout the semester. The percentage of passing students is above 50%.

Nice teachers, but not satisfied with placement.
Placements: No placements for students in GTB. National College, Dakha, Ludhiana. For the past few years, there has not been any student placed in our college in any course. The quality of food is also very good in our college canteen, and good sports and games facilities are available for students.
Faculty: The faculty of our college is well qualified and knowledgeable. All teachers are very nice. College semester exams are very easy. 80 percent of students from 100 are passed easily in semester exams and score good marks easily in those exams with less effort.

Driving with the growth of NEP.
Placements: Talking about the placements, the job fair called Mega Job Fair is organised only once a year, and the companies that come to select the students are quite few. Also, this opportunity is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so not all get a chance to show up.
Infrastructure: Some of the classrooms have broken fans and benches, but the hostels are comparatively good. One thing to keep in mind is that the rooms fit 2 people, so keep that in mind. Each room has a fan, a window, switches and 2 beds. There is also a study table in each room, so that's really nice. The accommodation is really nice.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in most cases and subjects. The curriculum is also wide and encompasses all aspects of the course. The pass percentage is around 33 percent which is not bad. The mid-semester exams are conducted by the college before each semester, which are totalled in the end and even toppers are given prizes.
Other: I chose the course due to my personal interest in history. I wish the faculty could have been better. The campus crowd is not much and the fests occur yearly but not on a large scale.
