The JCECE nursing test cities are decided by the conducting body, JCECEB. They release this list in the official prospectus every year for the aspirants. The cities are replaced also sometimes, and some new names get added, and older ones are dropped.

The JCECE BSc Nursing seat allotment result will be released on the counselling website of the conducting body. Candidates can check the result for each round of counselling separately.

Candidates with some medical conditions can carry a transparent water bottle to the JCECE BSc Nursing test centre. However, prior permission must be taken from the authorities at the centre. If they don't allow for the same, it must not be taken to the exam hall.

The JCECE nursing is an offline exam, which means that candidates will be given an OMR-sheet to fill in the answers. It will be a pen and paper based exam for which there will be instructions to follow at the test centre.

To seek admission to the JCECE nursing post basic program, a candidate must have:
- Passed class 12 Senior Secondary or Intermediate or an equivalent examination on a recognised board. Applicants who have passed class 11 in or before 1987, will be eligible for admission.
- Possess a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and should be a Registered Nurse Registered Midwife (RNRM) with the State Nursing Council.
