NEET is not mandatory for BSc Nursing in most private colleges in Bangalore. Admissions are usually merit-based on Class 12 marks or through state-level exams like KCET and KEA. However, a few colleges affiliated to RGUHS do their separate entrance exam and a few top colleges like NIMHANS do not accept RGUHS marks and have separate entrance exams. Please check the admission requirement with the individual college.

Once BSc Nursing is completed, there are a number of great choices for higher studies. The most sought after option is MSc Nursing, which is a 2 year Post-Graduate Nursing Program with specializations in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pediatrics Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing and Community Health Nursing. After MSc, a nursing educator, researcher or senior clinical specialist can be pursued. Another option is Post Basic BSc Nursing which can be pursued if previously GNM had done. For management positions, MBA in Hospital Administration is a very good choice as well among Nursing Graduates.

No, NEET is not required for BSc Nursing admission. NEET is for MBBS, BDS, and BAMS courses. BSc Nursing has its own set of entrance exams. For government colleges in Delhi, you may need to appear for AIIMS Nursing Entrance Exam, IPU CET, or CUET. For NCR colleges in Haryana and UP, state-level nursing entrance tests apply. Many private colleges in Delhi NCR also offer direct admission based on Class 12 marks without any entrance exam requirement.
