Yes, it's compulsory. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to these courses is a pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subjects with minimum 60% marks. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of JEE score.

From maths point of view, the important lastly revised topics may be geometry (especially parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola section), vector 3D and complex numbers.

Books play an important role in the preparation of any exam. So always prefer the best reference books to prepare. For board exams I suggest you NCERT Books, they cover the whole syllabus and designed in a proper manner. They can also helpful in the preparation of JEE Main. Hey Dikshit,
Surely, if you score in this range, then you will have a high chance of getting into CSE branch. If your score is around 270, then it is almost sure that you will easily get CSE.

First important point for the candidates is - There is no age limit to appear for the exam. JEE Main 2019 exam would be conducted twice in a year. Thus, candidates can appear twice in the same year. The number of attempts for admission in a particular academic session will be treated as one. NTA will consider the best score of the two attempts.
