It depends on you in which college you want to get admission. Students first choice is of IIT & then NITs & IIITs. You will get admission in any college all over India.

Indian universities require education upto grade 12 to be eligible for appearing in JEE if you are planning to do b.tech or b.e. and though upper age limit is not mentioned in the criteria, only those students who completed their 12th in 2015/16 or 2017 are eligible.

After NEET became a way of life, efforts at various levels were underway to have similar exam for engineering also. Setting up if National Testing Agency was announced in budget session of LS. It was also announced that from year 2018 there will only be one pan India exam for entrance exam. Let's wait and watch as to what actually happens.
