BA in mass communication does not have any subject related to political science but a person having knowledge of political science will surely have an edge over other candidates pursuing the same program. Unfortunately, you cannot get admission in a college to pursue BA in journalism through lateral entry. It is simply unacceptable.

Let me tell you this. MA in mass communication and MJMC just differ by the nomenclature of their names. They are same courses under different names. Some of the best colleges to pursue MA in mass communication of MJMC are provided in the link below:

Yes, it's almost like that. However, some people have very important role of luck combined with their talent to get a job as a News Anchor without becoming a News Reporter.
It's a pretty difficult job to get, but the path is somewhat straight forward:
1 - With a degree in Journalism; get a job as a reporter at a TV station in the middle of nowhere. Do anything and everything to get on air as much as possible.
2 - Compile a reel of all your best times on-air, submit this to TV stations at slightly less middle of nowhere markets.

Yes, a 10+2 pass out student from any stream is eligible to pursue journalism. But, don't just do it for the sake that you didn't got admission in medical or as a 2nd option, do it if you have a passion for journalism and media because only then you will be able to become successful in this field.
