JEST 2026 Application Window end date will be June 2026. The exam-conducting body for JEST is the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST); previously, the exam will be conducted by the Science & Engineering Research Board (SEBS)

Yes, SNU Chennai offers stipends and assistantships to full-time PhD students. Whereas, part-time scholars are exempted from this facility. Students admitted to PhD course at SNU Chennai will receive a stipend of INR 20,000 per month, with free shared accommodation in the campus. The university also provides contingency amount of INR 25,000 per annum for research activities.

Note: The stipend is subject to the satisfactory performance in the program, which shall be evaluated continuously, in compliance with the University research regulations.

SNU Chennai PhD admissions 2024 are open for the January Session. The last date to apply for the same was Nov 24, 2023. However, the written exam dates have not been released on the official website. Candidates are requested to keep checking SNU Chennai's website or the administrative office of SNU Chennai for more updates.

SNU Chennai PhD registrations are completely online. Candidates need to apply for the university-level exam on the official website of SNU Chennai and fill an online application form with all the relevant details. SNU Chennai PhD admissions are entrance-based. The university conducts an in-house entrance exam for the selection of right candidates to its PhD course. There is no other entrance exam acceptable for the admission. Candidates have to apply and qualify for the exam with a valid score. Candidates who will secure a good rank in the respective exam will be called for PI round.

The tuition fee for PhD at SNU Chennai is INR 72,000. This fee is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Futher, candidates also have to pay for refundable caution deposit of INR 10,000 ( one-time) & admission fee (one-time) of INR 5,000 at the time of admission. The thesis fee will be INR 15,000, which is to be paid at the time of submission of PhD synopsis)

Additionally, the scholars will be provided with free shared accommodation in the hostel and Married scholars will be provided campus accommodation at a nominal rent.

To be eligible to apply for PhD course at SNU Chennai, candidates must have a PG degree in the relevant stream from a recognised university. Candidates are shortlisted based on their past academic records, followed by performance in other selection rounds. Aspirants have to submit the scorecards and marksheet of previous education for the verification at the time of registering for the course.

Under the title 'master's degree of Primo Livello', the study programme does not guarantee a direct entry to a third cycle degree a PhD in BSBI, as applicants are asked for a solid research proposal and usually five years of previous education in the first and second cycles. 

However, coming to Doctorate courses, applications are based on their merit and each university and country has their own admissions criteria. Hence applicants are advised to check the official website to avoid the last minute hassles.

Yes, candidates are allowed to challenge the answer keys within the stipulated date and by paying the requisite amount. There is a certain format that students have to follow, otherwise their submitted challenges will not be considered.

For that candidates needed to fill out a separate Google form, which will be released by authorities after releasing the provisional answer key. For each question applicants want to raise the objection, they need to do the entry in google form. 

On the basis of JEST final answer key, the result will be prepared.
