No, you cannot join Vishwakarma Government Engineering College without appearing for an entrance exam. Students who want admission to the BE course have to appear for the GUJCET or JEE Main entrance examination, attain valid ranks and then sit for the counselling process. Only those students can appear for the exam who have cleared the basic eligibility rules.

Note: This is a rule for the engineering branches; other courses and exams might have different rules.

You have a good chance of receiving VGEC Computer Engineering in further rounds if you received VGEC IT in the mock round and your merit rank is 2310, whereas the cutoff for Computer Engineering was 2416 last year.

Why Would You Get It?
You have a higher chance of getting a seat because your rank (2310) is higher than the cutoff from the previous year (2416).
The real seat distribution may vary; the mock round is merely a guide and is not definitive.
There may be openings in computer engineering as some students choose to attend other universities.
What Must You Do?
Engage in additional counseling sessions and carefully lock down your pref

It depends on the selection of courses you choose as B.Tech in Information Technology cutoffs usually go higher. I think for other courses it should not be a problem to get admission in VGEC Ahemdabad. During the Vishwakarma Government Engineering College BE/BTech cutoff 2024, the last-round closing ranks ranged between 900390 and 904358 for the General AI category students.
