Excellent ROI with good coding culture and faculty.
Placements: The placements are impressive. You can find decent packages (3 LPA–5 LPA) for core branches like Mechanical, Civil, and Chemical. Whereas in CSE and CE, due to recent trends, you can easily find good and secure placements at various companies like TCS, Infosys, and Bacancy.
Infrastructure: The campus is very spacious (previously housing IIT Gandhinagar). You can find well-maintained and well-equipped computer labs and classrooms. The library contains a huge number of books. The downside is that, being a government institution, the structure looks a bit old.
Faculty: Professors are highly qualified, with many holding Ph.D.s. They are fundamentally supportive in academic and career guidance. The curriculum is structured and managed by GTU. Exams are conducted under the GTU scheme. The first year builds a basic foundation of subjects from all branches. From the second year, core subjects of the specific branch are introduced.

Review of VGEC, Chandkheda.
Placements: 1/4th of the students are placed in this college. It has 4 departments like CSE, IT, this, ICT are mainly placed in companies, and 32-35 company are in college and each company 2-3 students placed and total number of students is 400-450, so it is very tough to get placement.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is in good condition, but in summer any side of window there is no air circulation. Only 2-3 departments have water machines, and there is no much space to play cricket, football, and not ground. Overall, the college is good, but some departments, like B block, have no separate water coolers.
Faculty: Faculty are good here, and paper patterns are also designed by them. This is helpful in practical knowledge but not in GTU exams. Teachers are helpful and kind in nature and they have good knowledge of their domains. This course is designed by GTU and is is the same in all government colleges.
Other: Overall, it is good.

Decent faculties, good placement in the last 4 years and moderate infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: In my branch about 75 percent of students got jobs. The highest package is about 12 LPA and the lowest is about 4.5 LPA. Reliance and Adani are top recruiting companies. All the students have to find an internship themselves. The top role offered in my course is automation engineer.
Infrastructure: My college is government so the infrastructure is not as good as the private ones. We have good Wi-Fi and libraries. Classrooms are decent it's not too good or bad. We have two boys' hostels and 1 girls' hostel. The hostel is the best facility available in our college. Mess and canteen are excellent. We have all the grounds and sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful but I have to say some of them are rude. They are all qualified with a minimum degree of a master's in engineering. So it's moderate teaching. It doesn't make students completely industry-ready. I have to say it is almost 90 percent ready. Semester exams are all based on your skills and knowledge. About 80 percent of students passed.

Absolutely satisfied with the college and good placements.
Placements: Talking about placements, 70 to 80 percent of students from our batch will sit this time for placements. 60 students from our college aim to get placed with a median package of 6 LPA. Our placement drives will start from June 2026. If talking about data science, around 65 students sat in drives, of which 35 got placed. Let's see how it goes with us.
Infrastructure: We have every book regarding our course in our library. Lab equipment was just replaced a year ago. Classrooms are also very good according to government college. Talking about the hostel, I have no idea, as I am a day scholar and talking about the mess, their food is decent. You can have it. Every year Vishwacup is held as a sports championship for many sports and we have very gpod facilities for sports.
Faculty: Teaching quality is so good. They share so much practical knowledge and out-of-the-book knowledge and so they are so supportive. This course makes students industry-ready. Our faculty members mainly focused on building us like that. Semester exams are decent and not too tough, and the pass percentage is around 33 percent. Talking about course subjects, they are taught very well, according to our batch. Faculty members are also very good with their practical knowledge.

Good academics and infrastructure with decent placements, industry readiness depends on self effort.
Placements: Some reports and student reviews suggest placements vary between 60 to 80 percent, depending on the branch. The highest package offered is 22 LPA. Typically, the lowest packages offered are 2.5 to 3 LPA, average package lies around 4 to 5 LPA. TCS, Tech Mahindra, and TatvaSoft Internship ratio: Approximately 50 to 80 percent of students secure internships either through campus drives or independently. Common internship companies include Infosys, Adani, TCS, Torrent Power, Reliance and other tech firms.
Infrastructure: Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC), Ahmedabad has academic blocks, library Computer laboratories. Practical sessions and Mini and major projects are offered. Research and experimentation opportunities are provided. Spacious and well-ventilated classrooms equipped with projectors, whiteboards, and audio systems in many rooms. A large collection of textbooks, reference books, and journals. Access to e resources, e books and digital journals. Reading rooms with a quiet study environment.
Faculty: Most faculty members hold postgraduate or Ph.D. qualifications. Academic doubts. The course curriculum is designed by the GTU Core engineering fundamentals. The average pass percentage is around 75 to 85 percent across most branches. For core branches and tough subjects, the pass percentage may be slightly lower.
Other: Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC), Ahmedabad. I chose this engineering course because of my interest in technology, problem solving, and logical thinking. VGEC provides a balanced academic and campus life, strong fundamentals.

Good infrastructure and great teachers are available.
Placements: 90 per cent of students get placed in the college, the numbers can be fewer or more, it depends. The highest package is around 10 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top companies like Tatvasoft, Argusoft, and Simform recruit. There are various roles that can be offered depending on your own skills.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi are in all the departments. In the library, there is Wi-Fi. In the hostel, there is a LAN that can be connected to through a laptop. Classrooms are good with great infrastructure. The quality of food in the hostel is not so good. I won't recommend eating from there. Sports are great.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, too. Teaching quality is great for the theory part. There is some difficulty in practical knowledge. It doesn't make them industry-ready fully, but it makes them partially. Semester exams are of a moderate level, they can be easy or hard.
Other: Nightlife is best. Practical knowledge should be improved. Events are great, fest too. The campus crowd is great. Scholarships are other.
