Well-balanced campus life with good placement and decent infrastructure.

Placements: I am a student of ECE at VGEC, from the 2021-25 batch. Around 75% of the students in our college got placed through campus recruitment drives. The average package was 6 LPA. Top recruiters include Intel, EinfoChip, L&T etc. About 60% of students obtained internships in companies like EinfoChip, etc. The top role offered was embedded engineer.

Infrastructure: Our ECE department has well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, and access to a central library with technical books and journals. Hostel facilities are decent with spacious rooms, regular water supply, and 24/7 security. The mess provides average quality food, and the canteen offers a good variety. Basic medical facilities, indoor/outdoor sports, and recreation spaces are also available for students.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, helpful, and have good subject knowledge. The teaching quality is decent, with a mix of theory and practical learning. The curriculum is mostly relevant, especially in core subjects. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and the pass percentage is usually around 85%, provided students study regularly.

Other: I am from the 2022-2026 batch of ECE students at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College. I chose this course because of my interest in electronics and embedded systems. The best part of this course is its blend of hardware and software, with the opportunity to explore both core and IT fields. Various clubs and extracurricular activities are also actively conducted.

Good college for engineering in Gujarat state.

Placements: At Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, average package is 4.5 LPA. The highest package is 18 LPA. The lowest package is 3.5 LPA. Many companies visit during which students want to sit a placement on campus like Reliance, TCS, Infosys, Tata Motors, L&T, Adani Group, Enfochip, Micron Semiconductor, Shaligram Infotech, Rest Data System, Alpha Numero, Gemba Concept, Deepak Group, Sun Pharma, Zydus Cadila, etc.

Infrastructure: At Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, hostel infrastructure is best on average. There are total 3 buildings of hostel on campus, 2 boys hostel, and 1 girls hostel. Wi-Fi connection is not available, and lab is good to average, needed facilities are available. Mess is good to average, canteen is available. In college, sports are available like kabbadi court, volleyball court, cricket ground, badminton court, basketball ground, etc. In short good and excellent infrastructure is there in college.

Faculty: At Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, all faculty members are the best, his/her good direction of students' careers, and college conducts one-time mid-semester exam. Gujarat Technological University tracks the final semester exam (ESE). In college take a 30 mark mid-semester exam and a practical exam. Others like an assignment and viva during the semester.

Other: Vishwakarma Government Engineering College has good environment and students feel good. All faculty members are best. In college yearly organized sports. Any other activities are available like a robotics club, or IEEE. Students can participate in any activity they want.

College life at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College.

Placements: The placement percentage is more than 80% in our college and the rest students opt for higher studies abroad or pursue M.Tech. The training and placement cell thoroughly guides students to face interviews and helps them in every possible way. The highest package for the ECE branch is 13.67 LPA by Micron, and the average package is 4.80 LPA. Many companies visit our campus for placements. There are ample opportunities for deserving students in terms of placements.

Infrastructure: Since it is a government college, we really cannot expect facilities like private colleges, but the infrastructure is very decent. Wi-Fi is there in every department but at a very slow speed. The library opens at 11:30 AM and closes at 5:00 PM and in between they keep it close for almost 1 hour for lunch break. Earlier borrowing books was a really very frustrating task but now they have improved that process. I don't know much about the boy's hostel but there is only one girls' hostel where students always complain about water issues.

Faculty: Faculty members are really very supportive and kind. They are always ready to guide students, be it in their subject-related problem or career guidance. As an EC student, my course curriculum is still not so updated but build a strong foundation to understand modern-day chips as the foundation of these designs needs to be understood thoroughly to understand modern-day devices. We have two-semester exams in a year and each semester has a mid-semester exam. Semester exams are of easy to moderate level and to pass we need to score at least 23 marks out of 70.

Other: I got into this college through state counseling of B.Tech admission and I am really happy with it. Our college does not organises any fest. But we have many different types of clubs like NSS, NCC, AdvaNature club, Rocketry club, English literature club, drama club, etc. Our campus is surrounded by so many delicious and affordable street food. There are many beautiful cafes also. Narendra Modi Stadium and 4-D Square Mall are some of the famous places near VGEC.
