Ph.D Eligibility

To get admission in the PhD programme of MIT Academy of Engineering Alandi, the candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• BE/BTech in relevant branches of Computer Engineering from the All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government-approved institutions or equivalent, with an aggregate of at least 55% (50% in the case of candidates of backward class categories and PWD belonging to Maharashtra State only)
• ME/MTech in relevant branches of Computer Engineering from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government-approved institutions or equivalent, with an aggregate of at least 55% (50% in the case of candidates of backward class categories and PWD belonging to Maharashtra State only)
• MTech with SPPU PET Qualified Score
• Obtained a 50% score in the MITAOE PhD Entrance Test. Exemption in MITAOE PET: The candidate must obtain a qualified score in the Graduates Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by the IIT and/or in SPPU PET

KJ Somaiya has mutiple eligibiltiy criteria for its PhD programme, which are as follows:

• The Candidates must have Master’s degree or Professional Degree or Full time Diploma declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding Statutory / Regulatory / Apex body, of Universities which are recognised by UGC with at-least 55% marks in aggregate of all years / all semesters or its equivalent CGPA grade ‘B+’ in the UGC 10 – Points scale or an equivalent CGPA grade in a other points scale wherever grading system is followed

A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of CGPA grade, may be allowed for canddiates who fall under the below mentioned categories:

• SC/ST/VJNT/SBC/OBC category (of the Maharashtra State).
• Differently-abled persons with more than 40% disability.
• Who had obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
• Other categories as per the decisions of the UGC, from time to time.

The eligibility criteria for PhD course at MIT School of Food Technology is that candidate should have  Master’s Degree in Food Science / Food Technology with prerequisite of four years B.Tech./ Equivalent degree programme, with minimum of 70% of marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 10 – point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
OR
The candidates appearing for final year or final semester of their Post-Graduate Degree will also be eligible to
appear for the admission process subject to the fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria in the final result thereof.
OR
Candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor’s degree with Research should have a
minimum CGPA of 7.5/10.
NET/JRF /GATE Qualifying students will be preferred.

OR

Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 10-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a Foreign Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognised or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. programme. (A person whose M.Phil. dissertation has been evaluated and recommended for award of the degree, may be admitted to the Ph.D. programme in any Institution on a provisional basis even before the viva-voice or final defense)

The admission to Woxsen University PhD programme is based on candidate's score in the qualifying exams. The specific eligibility & selection criteria of the PhD programme is given below:

Eligibility Criteria: Two years Master’s degree holder or PG Diploma in the relevant field approved by UGC/ AICTE or from foreign universities as recognised by AIU with a minimum of 55% aggregate (or its equivalent grade).

Selection criteria: UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET/ ICMR/ GATE/ WRET + online presentation and discussion

Note: Students with master’s degree from Distance or Online Education should obtain a degree approved by DEB of UGC.
