All students who have passed their Class 12 board exams from a recognised board are eligible for enrolment into the BDes course offered by INSD Kolkata. Students can apply to be enrolled in INSD Kolkata by visiting the official website of the institute, filling out the registration form, and attaching all relevant documents.

The BDes course in INSD Kolkata has an average tuition fee of INR 4.56 Lakh. Currently, the fees for BDes courses in INSD Kolkata are the same across all specialisations. However, these may change in the future. We recommend visiting the official website of INSD Kolkata and checking the latest fees by scheduling counselling with INSD Kolkata.

The subjects included in the first two semesters of the BDes in Communication Design are meant to create a foundational base for the students. Further, from the third semester onwards, the institute offers specialisations in the BDes course. The names of the specialisations are- Graphics, Animation & VFX, UX/ UI, and Game design. Further, the subjects are offered as per the specialisation selected by the student from these mentioned specialisations. Check out the names of the subjects that are common for all specialisations:

To get admission to ITM IDM for BDes, candidates are required to qualify for the basic eligibility criteria first, which state an applicant must have completed Class 12 from a recognised university/ board from any stream (Arts, Commerce, or Science). Further, students are evaluated on multiple factors, including past academic performance, entrance test scores, portfolio, and personal interview. No one factor is more important than the other. Students are evaluated based on their overall performance and enthusiasm for the programme.

For admission to UPES School of Design, candidates must secure valid scores in accepted entrance exams. The school offers admission to BDes on the basis of the minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 10 and Class 12. Candidates must secure valid scores in entrance exams such of NID/ NIFT or candidates national level entrance exams such as UCEED/ JEE Main/ UPES DAT/ CUET or others. After qualifying throught the merit eligibility, candidates will be shortlisted for portfolio presentation and interview. After qualifying all the selection rounds, candidates must pay the fees to confirm the seat.

The IIITDM Jabalpur BDes cutoff for 2025, in Round 3, has been released. The closing rank for the general AI category is 202. Moreover, after comparing the round 3 closing ranks of the same course, they were 170 and 165 in 2024 and 2023, respectively. Therefore, in the year 2025, the rank increases, which reflects that the competition slightly decreases.
