Direct admission is not possible at the National Institute of Fashion Technology NIFT Jodhpur. Candidates must follow the eligibility criteria to apply for admission to several courses at the National Institute of Fashion Technology. The eligibility criteria for the admission to undergraduate courses is passed a three or four-year Diploma recognised by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) or to pass Class 12 from a recognised board or the State Board of Technical Education. The accepted entrance exam is NIFT Entrance Exam and others.

NIFT entrance examination is Institutional based examination which will only help you to get into NIFT whereas UCEED is a common Entrance Examination which is accepted by many design colleges and universities. So if you plan to get into only NIFT then you do have to give NIFT Entrance Exam but if you plan to apply in many universities then UCEED is a better option as you'll have many university choices and you can get admission on the basis of UCEED score.

At the undergraduate level, NIFT Jodhpur offers a Bachelor of Design programme to students. The basic eligibility criteria to apply for the Bachelor of Design programme at NIFT Jodhpur is to pass Class 12 from a recognised board or pass a three or four-year Diploma recognised by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) or the State Board of Technical Education. No, 7K rank is not a good rank for NIFT Jodhpur admissions if you belong to the General AI category. This category had the cutoff ranging between 242 and 2636. 

However, if you belong to the SC or ST All India quota, a rank of 7000 could get you admission to a few courses. For the SC AI category, admissions closed at a rank of 8791, and for the ST AI quota, admissions were capped at 8801. NIFT 2024 tentatively in the 1st week of November 2023. The application form will open online at niftadmissions. In. The National Institute of Fashion Technology will also release the detailed admission notification, including the eligibility criteria, at the time of release of the application form or sometime thereabout. Candidates who meet the precribed eligibility criteria for their programme can fill out the NIFT 2024 application form before the last date. Note that NIFT application form will be for admission to the B. Des, M.Des B.FTech M.FTech and MFM courses offered by participating colleges.
