Not satisfied with placement as the college charges hefty fee.

Placements: Placements are good for some departments and bad for others. FC and F&LA get nice placements while the other 5 departments suffer with either low-paying jobs or even no jobs at times. So, depends on the course you choose. Earlier it was quite good, but it's regrading.

Infrastructure: Only a girl's hostel is available and the college is too small. Small playground and library. Overall the college is very small. The labs are enough with all the resources required like knitting machines, overlock machines and of course SNLS machines.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and very willing to help you out. Semester exams can be very stressful especially the jury that happens once every semester. The course is quite relevant though and prepares you for the fashion industry in the end.

Other: Very few fests are organized.

NIFT has the facility to build a career in fashion design.

Placements: NIFT has a centralized placement process; companies can employ students from any campus, of course, through two routes. On-campus placements: Companies register for campus placements. Pre-placement offers: Companies can offer jobs before the official placement process. NIFT graduates are well-prepared for the industry with skills spanning art, craft, technology, and strategy.

Infrastructure: NIFT Kolkata has all the necessary facilities. The classrooms are very spacious, and the labs have all the necessary tools. The hostel is well-maintained and has free wi-fi facilities, which also include a resource center and healthcare center. The canteen and mess food are also great. NIFT campuses generally have specialized infrastructure to support various aspects of design studios, pattern-making labs, computer-aided design, and more.

Faculty: NIFT typically has experienced faculty members with expertise in different aspects of the fashion and design industry professionals as guest lecturers, organizers of workshops, and facilitate internships and placements for students. This helps students gain real-world exposure and stay updated with industry trends. The curriculum for a Bachelor in accessory design at NIFT is likely to be comprehensive and various aspects of accessory design. It builds career and also, we can follow our passion.

Placements: 85% of students were able to complete our course. The highest package is 9 LPA, the average is 6 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Arvind, H&M, Raymonds, Hoffman, Turtle, Zara, and Das Style pvt. Ltd. 25% of students were able to get internships from our course at the same companies. The top roles offered are designer, graphic designer, and garment construction stylist.

Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi facilities, and their classrooms are furnished, and the library room has trendy and modern books. The college has a boys' hostel and a girls' hostel, and the quality of the food is good. The mess and canteen are provided by students. For students' entertainment, colleges provide sports facilities.

Faculty: Teachers are always helpful and friendly. They are qualified and knowledgeable. They always provide up-to-date information. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students ready for industry. Semester exams are not very difficult. The pass percentage is 90%.

Overall, from my perspective, I am content with our college. It is a good institution for future.

Placements: The B. Des course in Knitwear Design at NIFT Kolkata is a very popular program in the college. Our college is known for providing excellent placements, with over 90% of students securing positions. The highest package in this course is 30 LPA, and the average package ranges from 5-10 LPA. Top companies such as Reebok, Nike, Aditya Birla Fashion, and Skybags recruit from our college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent. We have access to all types of facilities, and all classrooms are equipped with projectors. The LAB rooms are air-conditioned, and the entire college area has Wi-Fi coverage. The library facilities are extensive, and we also have a canteen and food court. Sports and games are organized annually.

Faculty: Our teachers are highly helpful and experienced. They are always ready to assist us and provide all types of resources for completing our final year projects. While the semester exams are challenging, they are not impossible to pass. Our teachers offer valuable suggestions, resulting in a 95% pass rate in our department.

In my opinion, NIFT is the best college in Kolkata.

Placements: The placement percentage is almost 100% and some students are going to higher education. The highest package is INR 25 LPA, and the lowest package is INR 3 LPA. Internship facilities are available but you better go get a job compared to internships. Top recruiting companies include top design brands like Reliance, Trends, Pantaloons, etc. The role offered were designer, certificate manager, etc.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. They regularly solve the problem. The Wi-Fi speed is good. Also, the computers are LAN connected and classrooms are LAN- and projector-connected. All the lab rooms have AC. I recently used the e-library feature. The college has a hostel facility and food court inside the college and the medical facilities are helpful. Sports and games are arranged once a year.

Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful, providing us with all types of guidance and resources to complete our assignment. Our department has experienced professors; some of them are gold medalists, and they are very knowledgeable. Exams can be challenging, but they are definitely not impossible; almost 100% of students passed.

Other: This course can allow me to develop my skills while also providing me with opportunities to receive accreditation and pursue my passion. I believe this accounting course will give me a great start in my career, providing me with opportunities in the future. The festival that happened every year in the college was extremely fun and engaging, with lots of creativity. Scholarships were available for meritorious students.
