The foundation stone for NIFT Panchkula was laid down by the Union Minister of Textile, Smt Smriti Irani in 2016. The first batch of NIFT Panchkula was offered admission in the academic session that commenced in 2019. Classes for design courses offered at NIFT Panchkula were initially offered from a temporary campus, Building of Government Polytechnic Sector-26 (Panchkula). The permanent campus of NIFT Panchkula is under construction and will get completed by December 2020.

The State Government has allocated a budget of Rs 133 crores to establish the campus of NIFT Panchkula in Sector 23 of the city. NIFT Panchkula campus will spread over an area of 10.45 acres. Currently, NIFT Panchkula offers five Continuing Education (CE) Programmes in coordination with Technical Education Department, Haryana. A total of 20% seats on offer at NIFT Panchkula will be reserved for students with Haryana domicile.

What’s new at NIFT Panchkula cutoff 2022? NIFT has declared the Spot Round Seat Allotment results for the non-PwD category on July 30 for all UG and PG courses. Candidates could check the allotment status by logging into the portal with their credentials. With Spot Round, NIFT has concluded NIFT Counselling 2022, as of now, there are no further seat allotment rounds scheduled.

NIFT Counselling 2022 was conducted in an online centralised mode separately for non-PwD and PwD candidates. Counselling for PwD category allotment closed after one round, while for the Non-PwD category, counselling was held in 7 rounds.
