National Institute of Fashion Technology, kolkata offers Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme which is of 4 years. Admission to this course is based on required marks scored by student in NIFT entrance exam. The entrance exam includes Creative assesment test (CAT) and General Aptitude Test (GAT) the candidates who clears both of these are required to aplear for SAT which is the final selection. Student should not be older than 24 years old ( 29 years for SC/ST/ PWD category students) as on august 1 of the year of admission.

The course is of four years and the fees of each year is around 1,67,250, which makes a total sum of 6,69,000 for four years. The hostel fee of the college is around 9,000 per semester which the students are bound to pay before shifting, along with a 23000 in advance. NIFT Kolkata admission is based on entrance exam. The institute accepts NIFT Entrance Exam for admission. The exam includes the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT). Students who clear both tests are required to appear for the Situation Test for the final selection.
