As per previous year CUSAT CAT cutoff for BTech for General Category, aspirants need to secure a rank under 700 to get a seat in the BTech CSE programme. CSE is a highly competitive branch of BTech. Cochin University of Science and Technology admission 2024 to MBA course is based CUSAT MBA 2024 scores. As per the previous year's CUSAT MBA cutoff 2023, the overall cutoff for MBA for All India quota is 83, whereas for Home State Quota, it is 73. In 2022, the overall CUSAT MBA cutoff stood at 76 for All India and at 64 for Home State Quota for the General category students.

CUSAT conducts CAT (Common Admission Test) for admissions to programmes like Law, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Marine Sciences, Humanities, Science, Medical Sciences & Technology, and Social Sciences and Technology. CUSAT CAT is a computer-based test. The multiple-choice questions (MCQs) are asked in the exam. Candidates can take this test by applying online through the university website. Some of the last-minute tips that can help you sail in the CUSAT CAT are as follows:
1. Do not study new topics for at least one month before the exam to avoid confusion with the CUSAT's prepared topics.
2. Review tricks and fundamental concepts until one day before the exam to avoid making mistakes on simple questions.
3. Give one final mock three or four days before the exam by creating an exam-like situation to prepare for real exam pressure.

The CUSAT CAT rank list 2024 will be prepared on the basis of the percentile index of the candidates. Candidates who have secured a minimum of 10 marks in each section—mathematics, physics, and chemistry combined—in the CAT exam will be allotted rank. This requirement of minimum marks, however, will not be applicable for candidates coming under Kerala Scheduled Caste and Kerala Scheduled Tribe communities.
