CUSAT CAT 2026 Application Form: Cochin University will release the CUSAT CAT application form 2026 online tentatively by the second week of January 2026. The CUSAT CAT registration link will be updated on the website, admissions.cusat.ac.in. Candidates must check the CUSAT CAT 2026 eligibility criteria before applying for the test. Eligible candidates must submit the application form for CUSAT CAT 2026 before the last date. The authority will announce the CUSAT CAT exam dates, including the registration dates. The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) conducts the CUSAT Common Admission Test (CAT) annually for admission to its UG/PG courses. CUSAT CAT 2026 Eligibilty Criteria

Candidates can check the detailed CUSAT CAT 2026 eligibility criteria below for various B.Tech disciplines offered at the university.

  • Pass in +2 examination of the State of Kerala or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects, securing a separate minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
  • Candidates belonging to Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) and Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) communities are eligible to apply if they have a minimum pass mark in the qualifying examination.
  • SEBC candidates of Kerala State belonging to the non-creamy layer category are eligible for 5% relaxation in the minimum required marks for the qualifying examination.
  • Five marks relaxation is granted to the cutoff marks in Higher Secondary examination marks for admission to UG programs of the University to those who have participated in Scouts, Guides, Rover, Ranger and earned “Rajyapuraskkar”, Nanmudra Certificate” during Higher Secondary level.

Eligibility  

Marine Engineering 

  • Secured 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 or equivalent from Kerala Board or any other recognized Board. 
  • Studied in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English in the qualifying examination. 
  • Secured minimum 50% in the English subject either in Class 10 or in Class 12 (applicable to all the categories). 
  • Candidates have to submit physical fitness and eye fitness certificates as well. The certificate should be obtained from Medical Examiners and approved by DG Shipping. 

 

Naval Architecture & Ship Building 

  • Scored 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 examination or equivalent from Kerala Board or any other recognized Board. 
  • Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics should be the compulsory subjects along with the other subjects in the qualifying examination. 
  • Obtain 50% in the Mathematics subject. 
  • Must have scored 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together. 

Instrumentation & Technology 

  • Obtained 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together in the qualifying examination. 
  • Obtain 55% in the Mathematics subject. 

Polymer Science & Engineering 

Passed Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as an optional subject or any other equivalent examination with 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized Board.  

Secured 50% in the Mathematics subject.

How to Fill the CUSAT CAT Application Form 2026

To successfully submit the CUSAT CAT 2026 application form, applicants will have to provide their details, upload the documents and pay the fee. The CUSAT CAT application form will be accessible through the candidate login only. Candidates can check the steps to fill out the application form for CUSAT CAT 2026 below:

How to Fill the CUSAT CAT Application Form?

  • Visit the CUSAT CAT official website.
  • Click on “New candidate registration” button.
  • Fill the mandatory details.
  • After submitting the details in CUSAT CAT application form, candidates will receive an activation on their registered email id.
  • Click on the activation link to activate the user account.
  • Username will be the candidate’s email address and note the password.

Details Required for the CUSAT CAT Application Form

Candidates will have to provide the following details while filling out the form:

  • Name, parents’ name, academic details, etc. 
  • Gender.
  • Communication and Permanent Address.
  • Caste category (Gen/OBC/SC/ST).
  • For Keralite status, NRI reservation and Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CGW), candidates must read the clauses provided in the CUSAT CAT prospectus.

Documents Required for CUSAT CAT Registration

  • A recent passport-size photograph (in portrait orientation and 150px x 180px dimension).
  • The file size of the photograph should not be larger than 500 KB.
  • Upload a scanned image of the signature (in the dimension of 130px x 57px.).
  • The file size of the signature must not be greater than 100 KB.
  • The format of photo and signature can be .png or .jpg or .jpeg..

Select Course

  • Candidates should select the programme or combination of programmes from the dropdown list with utmost care in CUSAT CAT 2026 application form.
  • After that, select the qualification acquired or going to acquire.
  • After confirming the course, the candidate has to click on the “confirm test” based on the qualification.
  • Then submit the course details.

Short Preview

  • Just after submitting the course details, a short preview will be displayed.
  • Candidates should inspect the short preview carefully.
  • After confirming short preview, no candidates will be able to modify the details.

Fee Payment

  • Later, candidates should make CUSAT CAT 2026 fee payment online.
  • Fee payment can be done through credit/debit cards or net banking

Select Centre

  • After successful fee payment, list of available centres will be displayed.
  • Candidates should select the centre as per their convenience for appearing in the CUSAT CAT exam.

Print Confirmation Page

  • After centre selection, a final preview of CUSAT CAT application form will be displayed.
  • Then wait for the confirmation from the University (it may take 2 days).
  • After approval, candidates will be able to download the confirmation page.

The CUSAT CAT exam pattern states that the question paper will have 225 MCQs. Mathematics section will have 90 questions, physics will have 75 questions, while Chemistry will have 60 questions. The exam duration is 3 hours and the maximum marks are 675 marks.
