Cochin university College of Engineering Kuttanad review.
Placements: About 20% students get placed. Musigma, Infosys, Tata, etc. companies are recruiting from the college. Almost every student gets internship opportunity in his/her 3rd year.
Infrastructure: The college has Wi-Fi facility, labs and best classrooms for studying. But for boys there is no hostel provided by the college. We have to look for private hostels available nearby the college.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. Semester exams are both simple and hard at the same time. Teachers are very helpful for the students as students can contact the teachers directly for any matter.

It has an average infrastructure, but it offers great learning and lessons.
Placements: About 60% of the students from our course got placed this year. The highest salary package offered is 46 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Cisco, TCS, SPCL, Vedanta, Code Bita, Mahindra, SOTI, etc., visit our campus for placements. Placements in our college are decent enough.
Infrastructure: The college provides 24 hours Wi-Fi facility on the campus. Labs are not up to the mark. For branches like ECE and mechanical engineering, it is difficult for us to do the lab work as the proper instruments and machines are not available.
Faculty: The best part of the college is the faculty and the staff members. They are very supportive. College asks for feedback about the faculty members and their teaching skills, which provides a genuine two-way conversation between the student and the faculty.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am interested in construction. In civil engineering course, you study what you see and your observations. The most important thing is the interest with which a person studies and learn.

Overall I am satisfied with the college.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students have been placed through college placement out of 350 students. Most of the companies visiting her for placements were recruiting for IT firms. There were also opportunities for core branches as companies like L&T also are a regular recruiter. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA, and it was offered by Oracle. Overall, the average salary package offered was 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities regarding the academics were top notch. Every department has its own building as well as separated labs and conference rooms for conduction of various guest lecture from the various industry. There was a college hostel for the students, which is one of the major drawbacks of the college.
Faculty: All professors here were PhD holders having minimum experience of teaching of 5 years. Each permanent professor was assisted by an assistant professor for reducing the workload. Ratio of student to teacher was 30:1. All assistant professors were at least masters degree holder.
Other: I have chosen civil engineering because I always wanted to develop my career in the field of construction. More industry interaction would be very helpful for the exposure of the students as we all are fresher here.

A good college in terms of academics. It is better than any of the reputed private colleges.
Placements: The placements are quite good but only for CS, IT and ECE branches. Civil, mechanical, and electrical students were also placed in IT companies but very few. There was zero placement for these branches in core companies. The salary package offered was around 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Some companies offered a salary package of 2.5 LPA to 5 LPA. TCS and Wipro were the major recruiters of our college.
Infrastructure: There are two campuses for this university, one in Kochi and the other in Kuttanad, Alleppey. The campus at Kochi is huge, and it is spread over around 180 acres. It has all the facilities like hostels, library, labs, Wi-Fi etc. It was located in the heart of the city. But, the one at Alleppey is in a village called Pullinkunnu, very far away from Kochi, and the nearest town is 12 km away. You would love the natural beauty of the place. Kuttanad backwater is awesome. It doesn't have a hostel facility, but private hostels were available at fair rates. Labs and Wi-Fi facilities were available on this campus too.
Faculty: Faculty members are good on both the campuses but a little better at the Kochi campus. The professors are very knowledgeable and friendly. The engineering wing offers 6 courses in civil, mechanical, electrical, electrical and electronics, computer science and information technology. The college offers a total of 540 seats at Kochi campus and 360 at Kuttanad campus.
Other: Kuttanad campus is accessible only from 6 am to 9 pm by public transport. Every year, our college organises a fest. Festivals like Saraswati Pooja, Onam and Christmas were celebrated every year.

College with good environment for studies.
Placements: The college provides very good placement opportunities for branches like IT, CS, EC, and fire and safety. The placements are moderate for mechanical and electrical branches, and we have a few placement opportunities for the students of the civil department. No company related to the civil branch visit our college, and the students of the civil department end up placing in software and marketing companies.
Infrastructure: Our college has a huge infrastructure, and it provides many facilities such as a playground, canteen, and sports club etc. The college is constructed in a mountainous area, and we have a good view of nature. It is a very old university, but they are constructing some new buildings and new libraries in different places. Our building is enabled with the Wi-Fi facility. We have good classrooms and a library. The college also provides a medical facility. However, the medical facility provided is not that good. Various sports and games events are organised every year.
Faculty: We have very good faculty members as all faculty members are selected on the basis of their scores in competitive exams, and there are so many courses being taught in our university. All the teachers are well qualified and well-knowledgeable. They follow unique teaching methods. They teach orally, and they even use video lectures at times. There is one teacher for every 68 students. The course curriculum is useful here.
Other: There are many events organised here, and we also participate in our tech fest named Dishna. The college also organises many other art fests such as Vipanchika and Saran. Scholarships are offered to economically weaker students.

It is a good college to complete your degree with maximum satisfaction.
Placements: The college provided quite good placement opportunities to the students in software companies. During our batch, the students from CS, IT, and EC branches who have completed their degree without backlogs are placed in MNCs with good salary packages. Meanwhile, some companies like Kitco, ONGC, and HPCL also visited the campus to offer placements for core branches. Fire and safety is the best branch in our college as students of that branch are provided with 100% placements every year. If you are opting for core branches like mechanical and civil, then you have to work hard to qualify GATE.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is awesome. Proper hostel and food facilities are available at very low cost. However, you can get Malayali as well as north Indian food easily. Apart from this, it has good lab facilities with maximum lab equipment. It has all the outdoor and indoor games. Hostel rooms and classrooms are quite spacious. It has a basketball court and many shops for daily needs. You will also get a good atmosphere to work as the surroundings of the campus have greenery.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified. One of our teachers named Dr Sunil Kumar has completed PhD from IISC Bangalore, and also won an award for the best PhD thesis. Most of the faculty members are permanent and quite disciplined. Faculty members are helpful and help you in every way. They use projectors to teach. They arrange site visits from time to time.
Other: The college organises various fests like Innovate, Sastrayan and Vipanchika. Every year, the college offers a sum of Rs. 10,000 for the branch toppers.

The college is good for education and extracurricular activities. Not recommended for civil branch.
Placements: There were no placements for civil engineering, but more than 60% of the students from other branches like ECE and mechanical got placed successfully in the college placements. The highest salary package offered was about 6 LPA, and the minimum package offered was 4 LPA, and the average was 4.8 LPA. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Accenture, and IBM were the major companies that visited the college to offer placements. The main roles that were offered to the placed students were software testers, coders, fitters, etc., based on the streams they were in. There is a placement cell in our college to help and assist the students in placement related matters, but it is not able to provide much assistance to the students in placements.
Infrastructure: The entire college is enabled with Wi-Fi facility. There are labs with proper facilities. Classrooms have projectors as part of teaching methodology. There is always a physician in the college, and ambulance facility is also available if the students or any faculty member needs it. The college conducts different sports and cultural events. The food available in the canteen is good in taste, but mostly only south Indian meals are available in the canteen. The college has a good infrastructure, and it is always neat and clean.
Faculty: The teachers in the college were highly qualified, knowledgeable, and professional. They had immense knowledge of the subject that they were teaching. The student to faculty ratio is about 21:1. I got to do live projects and summer internship training with Mather Constructions and RDS in Kerala. It helped me in getting practical knowledge of the industry.
Other: A fest named Away is organised in the college, and there are inter-college competitions. The college is located near the city, so it is highly connected and commutable. The college provides scholarships for meritorious students in each stream. For extracurricular activities, the college provides lots of fests and events to take part in. It also organises different sports activities among the students of different branches.

Good college for studying engineering in Kerala by all India students.
Placements: In my college, there is approximately full placements for computer Science and information technology and fire & safety engineering students. But for civil engineering placement is negligible. There are some companies comes for placement of core branch students like mahindra, Reliance, maruti, godrej, ceat tyres, Vedanta, sterlite, adani, l&t, hpcl, kpit, etc. Approximately 100 companies is coming for placement during my batch. Approximately 40-60% students got placement. Salary given by the company is from 2 Lacs to 15 Lacs.
Infrastructure: In my college, there is a good infrastructure for learning students. There are so many smart classes are available for students. There is sports amenities centre for playing sports games. All advanced and hi-tech labs facilities are available in my college for all branches. There are big canteen with affordable price is available in my college. There is so many hostel are available for boys and girls. I have not face any infrastructure related issues during my tenure at the college.
Faculty: There is a shortage of permanent faculty members, but there is a availability of temporary faculty members. There are helpful in academics. Teaching method is good for students. Students to faculty ratio is 60:1. I will get industry exposure by the college. My college curriculum is certified by NBA, AICTE, UGC, etc. and it is very useful for many competitive exams.
Other: In my college, there is art fest, tech fest, seminars organised regularly. College is connected with good roads. Campus is of about 180 acres with green surroundings. There are so many international conferences and seminars happenings in my college.
