Satisfied, good faculty, and energetic events. Good placement and worth money.
Placements: The placements are good. Many students have been with IBM, CDAC, and Infosys for different roles as consultants, developers, etc. If you have skills, you will be placed for sure. Compared to other branches, it has low placement rates. Marine engineering, fire and safety, computer science, EC, EEE, IT, ME, and Civil. It's not because IT is bad. Most of the recruits consider CSE equally.
Infrastructure: If you are joining as a first-year student for B.Tech, the chance of getting a college hostel (university hostel) is very low unless you have any sort of reservation. But you will eventually get it in the following 2nd or 3rd year. But you can get good guest facilities near the campus at a low cost (not as low as a college hostel).
Faculty: Teachers are really good. They teach well. Explain topics very clearly. The syllabus is much different compared to KTU. So you may find it difficult to find online classes related to the syllabus. Most of them help you with any doubts. Exams are a little more difficult compared to KTU but the university is good unlike KTU.
Other: A lot of cultural and tech events happen. Events are also good. You sure get 1 event every 2 weeks. Every event is quite big. But for the last 2-3 years the events have reduced but now it's back on full.

A good college environment for students.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed in my batch is approximately 50% due to recession. But right now, for my juniors, many students got placed in many companies. The highest package is around 4 LPA - 5 LPA. Cisco visits the college.
Infrastructure: The college has a good hostel and infrastructure. It provides a good library with all the resources. Apart from that, a university library is also available. The food quality is average in hostels. There is a UG ground and a basketball court. There are many extracurricular activities. The only problem is that the number of hostels available is less.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and supportive. They help with every doubt and curriculum. Exams are average. The pass percentage is high. The curriculum is updated every two years. It is up to date. There are various projects to be done during each consecutive semester.
Other: The campus provides a good environment for students with programs and extracurricular activities.

Review of Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our college is 60 percent; the highest package is 30,00,000, and the lowest package is 5 lacs. The crowd, Avenues, Infosys, Techno Park, etc., are the top recruiters. 50 percent of students get internships. Top roles are software engineering and computer engineering.
Infrastructure: We have a computer programming lab, a mechanical engineering lab, a basic electronics lab, and a basic electrical lab. We have a central university library and a department device library. We have specialties in hostels: we have 16 women hostels and 17 boys hostels.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and very friendly. They are qualified from IAIT. They are fully knowledgeable. We can share everything with them. The teaching quality of them is super. This curriculum is very relevant. The exam is not that much difficult.
Other: Why I chose this course is because I love information technology in a Bachelor of Technology. The best thing about my course is it is very easy to study. It is a very powerful course. There is nothing to improve in my course; it all fits. There are many more events that will take place in my college.

A journey of learning and growth.
Placements: The percentage of students placed varies from 80-95% depending on academic excellence and skills. The highest package offered was 24 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA. The recruiting companies include TCS, CISCO, EY, VISTEON. Internship was included inside the syllabus, and all the students were able to get paid internships. Most of the students were able to get internships during their last semester. The top roles include website development, software developer, database administration, UX/UI designer, network engineer, and cybersecurity specialist.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is a pure work of art. The classrooms include smartboards and blackboards. The lab structure includes advanced equipment with air-conditioned classrooms and high-speed Wi-Fi connections. The library is of two types: one is common for university students, and the other is common for engineering students. The library is air-conditioned, equipped with Wi-Fi and e-book facilities. There is a study lounge as well as examination centers.
Faculty: The faculty members at CUSAT are highly qualified, with many professors experienced in both academia and industry. Their teaching methods make the theory very easy, as well as providing hands-on experience, supported by lab sessions, assignments, and real-world projects. The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for getting placements in the IT field. It includes real-world projects and a well-structured syllabus. The semester exams are very difficult compared to other universities. The pass percentage ranges from 88 to 95 in various semesters.
Other: I chose information technology purely based on passion. There are many tech-related festivals as well as many events where students can earn part-time income if they participate consistently.

Facilities are infrastructure need to been improved.
Placements: Most of the big companies come here for placements. The average package is above 4 lakhs. Most companies that come for placements are average, so packages are also average.
Infrastructure: Most first-year students will not get a hostel because of ragging issues. Since CUSAT has other courses, there are limited hostels. So, students who are coming for engineering will not get a college hostel unless they have reservations.
Faculty: CUSAT is an autonomous college, so answer sheets are checked by our own teachers. Do not mess with teachers. If we act silently in class and obey everything, teachers will give full attendance.
Other: There are different clubs on campus that conduct various events and programs.

Q:   Is 12000 a good rank in CUSAT for BTech?
    A:

Looking at the previous-year General All-India CUSAT CAT ranks for BTech, there is a less chance of getting into the programme with a rank of 12,000. Candidates can get a seat but not in top specialisations like Computer Science Engineering, Naval Architecture and Ship Building, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, etc. Students must secure a rank under 1,000 to get a seat in the preffered BTech specialisation at CUSAT.
