The GATE conducting authorities offer scribe facility to candidates. However, to request a scribe for the GATE 2026 exam, candidates must fulfil the required criteria imposed for scribe candidates, which are as follows -
- Candidates with permanent disabilities of 40% or more, including visual impairments or locomotor disabilities affecting writing hand are eligible to apply for a scribe.

No, only a printed hard copy of the GATE hall ticket is accepted. Soft copies on electronic devices are not allowed and may lead to disqualification. The GATE admit card was released on January 7, 2025 and can be downloaded using their enrollment ID and password.
